That was my reaction too.
That was my reaction too.
The first Sandman Slim was fantastic! I loved it!
Schecter has a bunch of stuff out. There's a serial killer 'encyclopedia' thing he's got that I'm eager to get my mitts on.
I have not read that book you mention but I will certainly go look it up on Goodreads and add it to my list.
Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil was pretty decent though it didn't spend quite as much time on the actual murder as I thought it would. Helter Skelter (Vincent Bugliosi) is good, The Stranger Beside Me (Ann Rule) was good. I also really enjoyed Harold Schecter's Deviant (about Ed Gein). Someone else brought up…
It's on my "to read" list. I keep bumping it down but I really, really need to read it.
It's good - it sucks you in immediately. Hope you enjoy it when you get to it!
Right now I'm in the middle of "In Cold Blood" (Truman Capote's book - I can't believe I had never read it before now because I adore true crime novels). Immediately after I'm done with that I'm fixing to start the second book in the Sandman Slim series. I also just finished the second book in the Ransom Riggs series…
I guess this speaks to what a nerd I've always been but my dolls all went to school. I set up lockers and desks for them in classrooms made out of shoeboxes and I made them composition notebooks and textbooks out of construction paper and they got themselves a fine Barbie education. When I cleaned out my barbie bag…
WANT.
In my bag I have:
-a current knitting project (with extra needles and a small pencil bag that I carry my notions in)
-my iPad AND a kindle
-a random blank birthday card that really ought to be filed in my crafty lady room
-tax papers (also need to be filed at home)
-my wallet
-1 bandaid (no idea why that's there)
-costume…
I always tend to go for art kits or DIY stuff instead of dolls because my niece has always loved drawing and creating things. I've purchased a lot of cool things from the Fat Brain Toys' website. My nephew is only 2 but since he spends so much time with his mother and 7 year old sister, he does what they do (like…
gluten free sweet potato pie for my gluten intolerant, pumpkin hating husband on the left, regular pumpkin pie with a super flaky buttermilk crust for me on the right. As soon as I recover from our Thanksgiving prime rib meal, THERE WILL BE PIE CARNAGE.
I've had good luck with using potato flour (not potato starch) to thicken stuff and make gravies. I made the same mistake with the cornstarch gravy once. Never again.
My husband just barely, almost 8 years into our marriage, told me that he doesn't like the muppets. I was like "I wish I had known that before marrying you because that's a deal breaker!" Seriously. Who doesn't like the muppets? Insane people, that's who.
That's my favorite, too.
Has it only been two years? Because I feel like I've been subjected to news and whatever about these people for a lot longer than that.
Haha, you can hate me. I hate me for watching it. I only sought it out because people were posting that damn gif of the creepy thing all over the internet and I needed to see what it was about. I now regret that urge to find out .
Are you talking about Bedfellows? I watched that for the first time just the other day and have given my sleeping husband the side eye every time I get up in the middle of the night and look over at him on his side of the bed ever since.
Are you MY secret sibling? My mom was the same way. I did the purchasing of her cigarettes when I was a kid so she wouldn't have to get out of the car. This woman even bullied a convenience store whose policy it was not to accept checks to take her check to pay for her cigarettes. When I think back on it now, I'm kind…
Oh damn, carpet too!? I feel bad for you :( I have carpet in my dining room and that's bad enough. I don't think I could stand it if it was in the bathroom too.
