The WalMart employee was almost certainly exempt from paying the ACA fine anyway, unless she was full-benefits management that chose not to cover herself (then she would just be dumb). Plus, the IRS has said they won’t enforce the penalty anymore.

It might shock you but the majority of drivers are the ones asking for protections of bills like AB5. Seems like they’re taking responsibility just not in the way that you like. Also, there’s no way the rideshares are leaving their very large home markets. Let’s not be silly here.
Your comments are a total joke. Take some Uber/Lyft rides, and if you bother to make conversation you’ll quickly find out how many drivers are doing this as a desperate attempt for income because they are otherwise unemployed.
Or...just spitballing here.....those companies could actually follow the laws and this wouldn’t have happened in the first place.
Friggin seriously. Some jackass always makes this claim – while completely ignoring the fact that these companies actively encourage this behavior AND the ridership volume the NEED in order to keep meeting their growth requirements are mostly built on the existence of these drivers. As if college kids driving an hour…

When I am hiring independent contractors, one thing stands out: Independent contractors can set their own price, and they aren’t required to bid on every job we open.
Football is the perfect sport for America because it’s manufactured tribalism that allows us to blather a lot of meaningless nonsense about fake combat none of the fans have any actual involvement with, while scrupulously hiding all the real-world consequences and in the process making a handful of billionaire…
“I’m far from a fan of Trump,”
Oh, we’re using “scientific rigor”, are we? Well, in that case, let’s consult what the actual science says about the relationship between violence and mental illness:
I think the difference is that these guys aren’t mostly bemoaning the 3 True Outcomes, which I agree, makes for boring baseball. They just don’t like that metrics are involved. Pinella’s comment, for example, is fucking stupid. How many more games would he have won if he had employed a shift instead of just sitting on…

Especially if Trump is soundly defeated in 2020, rather than removed/dead/term limited. Once his legacy is clearer because a little time has passed, they will all wash their hands of him and act like everyone else is an asshole for not letting it go. Your redneck relatives will come back out of the woodwork all mad…
Really well written as usual, Paul.
Strange how so many white male shooters are mentally ill AND are white supremacists AND support Trump, if not him personally, but his deeds.
Ah yes, person-who-doesn’t-know-the-rules trying to project their lack of knowledge on someone else, and looking even dumber than otherwise. Always a classic.

Lay off the Provel, man.
“Truly the Cardinal Way has become the way of dishonor.”
“the ending of this movie I haven’t seen is offensive, awful, and deplorable (based on a wikipedia summary I just read) and I am outraged.”
