Nah, they were both still married when they met. There were a lot of people invested in the fairy tale seeming nature of their previous marriages (Gwen and Gavin being a 90s power couple, Miranda crushed on Blake from afar.) Is it possible you feel that way because of cultural constructs that infantilize women until they are wives and mothers? If a woman is 18, she is a woman.
