A star just isn’t enough, Poodletime! Your comment made me tear up in the BEST way possible. <3

What makes you think he’s making “tens of millions of dollars?” Not even close.  More like $3 million over four years. It’s called a “rookie contract” and a huge percentage of NFL players never make it to that 2nd (typically much more lucrarive) contract.

Could we maybe try to refrain from calling each other idiots? I mean, if that’s the level you’re at, then by all means go have at it on FB & twitter. But after the past couple weeks, many of us (ALL if us, I believe) are in need of some simple human decency. Can we please aspire to that? Thanks.

Thank you, Andromedid. I could’ve written your comment—word for word—and now I don’t have to!

Just wondering... Why do you think it is that most of the informed, well-reasoned comments on this particular article are in the grays? My guess is b/c the people who are most “in the know” on this subject don’t/can’t spend their days commenting on Gawker sites, but were actually *compelled* to respond because they

Do you have ANY idea what a ridiculous statement that is? It is virtually IMPOSSIBLE to have someone “committed”these days, (and has been since the 1960s.) Unless they’re walking around with their head spinning 24/7 & routinely threatening people’s lives *in the presence of police* - GOOD LUCK with that!!

You have NO IDEA what that woman put him through leading up to that (admittddly foolish, but likely ineffectual) statement. I guarantee you that she’d *emotionally* destroyed ALL of their lives long before this. He’s been a dead man walking for years.

Personality disorders are largely invisible to casual acquaintances, but are a living NIGHTMARE for family members. Some type of PD is my guess in this situation. My husband’s exwife has Borderline PD and she has/will make our lives a living hell until her dying breath, unless she pulls something like this first, that

If you really want to meet one, he lives in the Flatiron District of Manhattan. He’s the only former boyfriend I’ve managed to stay great friends with for a decade+ post-breakup (I’m now married). He’s a smart, solid guy and by FAR the funniest human being I’ve ever known. A 100% non-douche Chad.

I see that this was already noted once, but President Carter is Baptist, not Catholic. There has been only one Catholic U. S. president & that was JFK.
