Tyson Ritter has kind of a weird energy, so this works for me.

I watched The New York Ripper based on this list and . . . that was a mistake. Terrible special effects, wildly misogynistic, and just BAD. Filmed like a bad 80s cop show- flat and washed out. Bad performances, all poorly dubbed into English. It has no atmosphere, no sense of timing, and an extremely poorly…
Fuck this asshole. He’s tarnished everything he’s ever done by being an uncompromising piece of shit basically all the time.
Oh honey . . . this is one of the dumbest horror movies I’ve seen in a long time. It’s just bad. And the mechanics for bad movies becoming cult classics are fading away very quickly in modern times. So no one is gonna remember this.
Are we looking at the same person? He looks like a tissue paper thin piece of skin that has bee. stretched across a skull and stapled in the back. Which is fine, he’s old as shit, but I sure wouldn’t call that “amazing” for any age.
Ugh, agree. And it’s not so much “I personally won’t watch it then” and more “and no one should watch this because it’s just brain poison for the next generation of white guys.” We still have to live in a world with the people who like this horseshit even if WE don’t watch it. And that suuuuucks.
Probably because: who?
Too damn young. He was such a vibrant character actor. A scene stealer.
So your reaction to someone saying they care about a thing is to call that thing meaningless and say no one cares about it. Cool. Very logical and cool.
I recently watched the original Candyman and this movie could not have reminded me more of it. This was pure early 90s camp. Or maybe The Crow meets Se7en.
I’m concerned though to think there might be people surprised by the twist. I know I’m jaded and over familiar with this genre, but about 10,000 clues were left in…
RIP. A long life, though. Seven Brides is my jam.
Books and music are two things that I feel are pretty much useless to measure in any sort of universal way. They are far too personal, too subjective. TV, movies, and games (newer forms of media, to be sure) are much more universal.
The only thing more tiresome than Beatles fanboys? Beatles shitposters. We get it, your totes not mainstream.
She is consistently the best part of the dreck she appears in. Which makes her project choices all the more disappointing.
Yeah, I’m afraid that loyalty is why only like 1 out of every 5 of her projects are watchable.
I actually really like it. I could just *listen* to it and still find it enjoyable. Steve Martin has the most comforting voice and I’d never heard Selena Gomez before this but her voice is really husky and smooth. Even Martin Short is tolerable here.
Is there any more boring subject in the world than what this is trying to tackle. Bored to tears just reading about it. Hardest of passes.
This sounds unimaginably bad. They cast someone who bears no resemble to this woman (or maybe Chastain cast herself), and they portray a complicated person in an almost totally sympathetic light (according to this review) even though they were still at the end of the day associated with something monstrous.
I think putting together a person victimized for having mental illness, a domestic abuse survivor, and a child bride makes sense. They were all controlled and manipulated by outside forces and then turned into public laughing stocks for things beyond their control. Seems pretty apt to me, regardless of if you “like”…
Her being dumb as a box of hair and kind of crazy too doesn’t change that she experienced some horrible shit. But she’s been dumb and crazy for a long time too.
