This is so damn wrong. There needs to be a way to weed out these bad apples.

I hear you.

Driving with a revoked license is a misdemeanor. The fine is usually less than $500.

Even with it on video nothing much happens besides them getting a paid vacation.

What bothers me most each time I see these cases is when people respond by blaming the victim. Whether it is resisting arrest, having a prior record, acting suspiciously, being high, etc., there is no excuse for a disproportionate response. We don’t live in a society where non-violent offenses are death sentences.

Meanwhile Chad and Becka are making six figures on the west coast, “legally,” through their dispensaries.

A tiny bit of pot and a few traffic violations (driving with suspended being the most serious). In a sane world, this would result in a person being questioned discreetly on the side of the road, then perhaps fined with a few tickets. Instead, he’s dragged into the street, beaten, and incarcerated (and will also pay

These injustices happen so frequently that they all end up blending together and becoming the norm, like just another rainy day. The public (read:white people) are so normalized to trivializing and then dismissing these occurrences, as merely life going by, the sun going down and the sun coming up.

It’s so nice to remember not everyone is terrible and some people are actually lovely.

What a great story... It’s awesome when a ‘regular’ person makes a massive impact on the world. Someone below said it best; this future “Nurse” will save many lives during their career.
What a great way to leave a legacy; talk about Footprints-in-the-Sand.

People got together and made a life better, and they made a nurse... and someday that nurse is going to save a life. That’s paying it forward on a cosmic scale.

It is normal to have problems, but broadcasting your kid’s failure in front of the world to see is becoming normal and I hate that.

What kind of hardcore criminals are in Connecticut that would require ARMED DRONES.

We can’t even trust these fuckers to use the guns that they use in person and we’re supposed to trust them to be able to use a remote device responsibly?

Yeah, great, this seems like a good plan. A paramilitary force that treats minorities as dangerous and lesser creatures is now going to be able to put even further distance from the act of killing.

We can see how responsibily the military uses armed drones. And they’re supposedly well trained for that task. Anyone remember the Ordinance Disposal Robot that was used to carry a brick of hi-ex and blew up a suspect that was trapped and couldn’t cause harm? That gives an idea of how these would be used: You’re

Good thing we still have the ACA to cover your near death experience.

My president’s response:
