Mary Turner and her child, and that is an incredibly, staggeringly appalling murder. That people could do that and then just go on with their lives is just... hard to comprehend. Truly monstrous and particularly insane for only a hundred years ago.

In fairness, the incidents with good cops don’t generally make the news. We do have to keep that in mind. That we don’t see something doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen.

I think this is exactly what happened and that this is no less than sexual assault. Thank you for being a “good cop” - I hope others around you are following your example.

I wasn’t going to comment on this because I saw it earlier on another site and was thoroughly disgusted. However... here I am.

Cowardly police have no idea how to handle a confrontation without escalating it. When I asked a cop family member why this is he told me they are pretty much trained to behave the way you see in the video, as if that makes it acceptable.

White people know calling the police on a Black person could end in death or assault. They can’t physically do anything themselves so they let the police handle it, and the cops always show out when it’s a Black person.

Police officer: So what’s the problem? They’re charging you for plastic utensils? And you want the contact information for their management?

She was asking why she was being charged for said utensils. Since when do restaurants charge extra for takeout utensils?

Those waitresses did not call the cops on this young woman out of fear. It was pure hatred and spite at work. She was going to report them, so they had her assaulted by cops.
