Seriously, how can anybody not recognize this as a shitty little gang war? The police get it, although they handle it in a shitty way as usual, and just let them get at it.

While I’m not sure if today’s antifa in Berkeley are college kids or what, there DID used to be a bunch of skinheads and affiliated Nazis that would show up at punk shows in the ‘90s, and generally speaking only went away because they got punched too often. So I suspect for some of these kids, it’s a little more…
The problem here is less about the actions of those kids and moreabout how pundits and then legislators will use this anecdotal episode to create, respectively, memes about non-existent trends and threats, and then newly restrictive policy.
I can’t tell if this is the least HamNo post I’ve ever read or the most HamNo post I’ve ever read.
I agree with that. I can’t get up the appropriate venom for her, she is clearly deeply unwell. Does flogging this dead horse actually do anything about white privilege or systemic racism, or are we all just pointing and laughing at a very sick person at this point?
“Well after talking to Rachel I’ve come to the conclusion that I am in fact Steve Harvey. I’m bald, the mustache, my second favorite hobby is mansplaining. The evidence; it’s all there.”
By the end of it Phil begins to see why he may be black as well.
The only way she knows to get out of a hole is to keep digging.
“Dr” Phil: Come on, you can tell me the truth, grifter to grifter.
But something tells me she’s not about to change her story.
She is the Queen of doubling down on bullshit.
I don’t trust Phil. I won’t be surprised if, at the end of this interview, he states something like “well she does have some interesting points...”
I recently had a conversation with a friend who had an interesting argument that, in time, we’d look back on her as an innovator. But there are not enough gifs to appropriately capture my reaction and response to this (which was actually a surprisingly restrained counter).
Maybe Dr. Phil can get Rachel Dolezal to finally admit that she has blatantly lied about being black. But something…
I’m not ready. Mostly cause this will force me to think about the fact that Alan Rickman is gone. His character was as close to a villain as that movie could get...and deserving of a comeuppance...but I’ll probably still cry with whatever they’ve chosen to do with his storyline. Maybe they’ll just say he moved away…
OH THANK GOD they brought Chiwetel Ejiofor back. If Keira ditches him for that schmuck I will kick things.
I think that movie is silly in general and the cue card scene is one of the worst things ever done in an allegedly romantic movie ... and somehow the trailer STILL made me want to see the special.
Actually, Bill Nighy is the one that has aged the best. Obviously.
I also have this perspective from my teen years. Honestly, I have come to the conclusion that what I know is the real "dirt" (we did drugs! so and so was a crappy spouse!) and that there is no Gigantic Conspiracy. Celebrities are pretty normal across the board.
