Gah! Don't remind me - I kept watching because I wanted to know what was behind the wall and now I'll never know!

He asked her if she really wanted to go through with it and she said yes whilst he looked more hesitant. So the power-balance between these two is not that clear-cut.

Yes, I had to think of Sleepy Hollow (S1!) too - except Dash is not nearly as dashing Ichabod Crane and Vega not nearly as badass yet charming as Abbie Mills.

From stuff mentioned in the review it looks as if Arthur (the twin brother) is not missing but has gone capitalist rogue selling his abilities.

And he did so with her consent so I don't know where all the confusion is coming from. (I just realized that the leaked pilot for Minority Report differed from the one aired yesterday and so I was wondering if something similar had happened here.)

Did they change the ending from the leaked pilot? The question who was responsible for the tattoos was answered there.

Too confusing for an already over-stuffed pilot - that was probably the logic behind taking the Chinese shortcut! I taught Chinese students for several years so I'm well aware of the distinction. But it's a minor detail - what they should focus on was the odd not coincidence that tattoo lady is able to handle that

Aha - thanks. Part of me wished they had gone with Agatha instead, she was a great character. And it would have broken the narrative pattern mentioned below (pairing of eccentric dude with no-nonsense female cop).

It's been a while since I watched the movie so I'm not sure how Dash's precognition is supposed to work. I thought it was only crime related - yet in this episode he showed signs of everyday premonition. A thrown pitchfork might count as crime but I draw the line at bird poo. It provided some comic relief but I do

They actually mentioned that it was a dialect.

Saw the pilot and have to disagree. I was actually surprised how little sexualized the scenes where she was completely naked felt. In all cases it was clear that this is a woman in deep discomfort and the camera was not ogling.

I've seen the pilot (and I hereby confess to watching Castle) - trust me, it's worth a try. Pilot reviews are always tricky and I think this one's too harsh - I prefer it when reviews cover the first two or three episodes but with all the leaked pilots and screeners I understand why we can't have nice things any

Not if she's part of super-duper pitch black ops. I thought it more of a stretch that they all jumped to the conclusion that she must be a SEAL (before they saw her fight) just because she had the tattoo. She might as well have been a SEAL groupie.

Yeah, the Sharon Stone arc was great and pretty heartbreaking and bleak. It's also remarkable that they did show the emotional fall-out.
I caught some reruns recently out of nostalgia and I think the show holds up quite well all things considered.

I loved the show as a kid but I do remember that even back then I wondered why most women Magnum had to deal with were so incredibly dumb and/or annoying.

The 80's had some great opening titles. I'd add McGyver and Airwolf to the list.

I find it funny that the English tend to forget so easily where the Anglo-Saxons came from.
Also: it's not the Germans fault that the Brits were paranoid about popery.

Damn the Bourne trilogy was great (yeah I tend to ignore the Renner follow-up) - don't ruin the perfect hat-trick!

Aha, thanks for the clarification. But would that not mean that in the end he will run for VP in a ticket with Mrs Clinton (unless the Kings manage to conjure a Democratic candidate who will snatch the ticket away from her)?

I'm confused - Peter said he had been asked to run for vice-president. Last time I checked Mrs Clinton seems to be running for president.
