I assume you're not talking about Guy ;) (Apologies to Mr Nelson but that non-haircut is more of a deal-breaker than having eaten a dead friend.)

It's close to the dynamic of the classic buddy comedy - Grace (and Monica) are handed the part of the straight (wo)man. It asks for more restrained acting - I like Fonda's subtle performance showing us the slow thawing of Grace throughout the season.
Granted Tomlin's got to play more of the comedic beats - but Fonda…
I agree - there was plenty of build-up to Sol and Frankie's sleeping together. Their closeness after the break-up was problematic because it indicated that they're both not ready to really let go. Hopefully we get a season 2 - a great show all around.
Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries: Flapper done right. Looking at you Downton Abbey - and now I wish there was a cross-over because I need to see Phryne meet Lady Mary.
Apparently nobody has sent the heels-memo to Inès de la Fresange, she always wears flats at Cannes and I'd like to see the usher who dares to send her away.
Apparently I'm a powerful witch. Another reason to love this show.
Seriously though - just roll them up if the folding maneuver doesn't work. Once you put them on nobody can tell the difference.
The show does not get a lot of promotion. I only know about it because Sutton Foster was guest-starring in the penultimate episode of Elementary and someone in the comment section mentioned her 'new show'. Since I'm still not over the cancellation of Bunheads I was all 'Sutton Foster got a new show? Why did no-one…
"Everybody lives" was a quote from "The Doctor Dances" - but yeah I wish the Doctor would read the folks on this show the riot act about time-travelling. I couldn't believe how nonchalant they were about it and it really took me out of the moment.
If the good folks of Central City aren't going to tear down that would-be LHC of doom in the first episode of season 2 then they deserve whatever catastrophe that thing will breed by the end of the season. Joe will pull a Captain Lance and quip: 'Starlab is going doomsday again - must be May.'
Don't worry the Tardis will fly through the anomaly and the Doctor's gonna save them all - everybody lives (except Eddie and his spawn of evil).
Charles Dance seems to be the go-to choice for many but I'm not sure the showrunners (or Dance himself) would like the ghost of Tywin Lannister loom over the show.
Mr Knightley is no wuss, dammit! And he's not the hero of Mansfield Park but Emma. But yeah - great acting from Miller.
I also think you should work on your definition of 'stupid'.
I think Catelyn Stark would disagree - oh and Sansa whilst she still was Sansa Lannister.
for those who say that rape is not necessary for the arc of Sansa Stark , what exactly would you have done to replace this?
Well if we can play this without taking into consideration various plot logistics implied by the books - here goes.
First give the whole plot more time to unfold. (Pacing here has already been a…
Well at least I don't have to resort to insults.
Thanks I know that and I also know that this is not a historical drama but a piece of fiction inspired by history through the lense of our society. And that gives me every right to call the actions presented by the standards of the present age.
I think you should update your definition of rape. Just because she lives in a society that accepts marital rape it's still rape. The society of Slaver's Bay had their own version of the peculiar institution and we still call it slavery.
The furor over this scene is only partially about the general violence on this show. That's why 'you did not get angry about *insert random horrific thing done to character on this show*' is just a way of handwaving away the underlying issues.
Plus it's disingenuous because almost all of this cited incidences have…
I've talked to people who stopped reading the books because of all the violence in general and/or the many misogynistic scenes. Those people will not show up in discussions here but they do exist. Same goes for people who stopped watching the show for the same reason.
