And yet, the entirety of Breaking Bad, one of the greatest shows in recent memory, was all about the banality of evil. Walter White is not an ubermensch. He's not a supervillain. He's just a sad sack with cancer who caves under the pressures of his life and starts doing some really awful things, and they keep piling

There's one obvious example that you omitted from the list. The difference is that everyone forgets Walter White is a mass murderer. We root for him, and even sympathize with him most of the time. But he kills a lot of people, and he's doing it partly for financial gain.

Hot town, summer in the city! Makin' up words to an ancient ditty. Too hot, feeling kinda shitty. Guy walks up and grabs you by your titty!!

My daughter loves Pompeii by Bastille. But she thinks it's "How am I going to be an octopus about this?"

I've led some raids down in Africa.

I hope you don't mind
I hope you don't mi-ind

The theme used in True Detective, the Handsome Family's "Far from Any Road". I originally heard one line as "poisoned Creole soul" which made sense for the show. Then I looked it up and found, "poisoned creosote", which made much more sense with all the other desert imagery in the song.

My personal one is from "Blinded by the Light," where I swear he says "wrapped up like a douche," instead of the actual lyric: "revved up like a deuce."

You know you're gonna have to face it. You're a dickhead to love.
