it's funny how quick to judge we are, isn't it? I see a lot of ladies in this thread complaining about feeling "judged" when they walk into an upscale makeup store, yet here you are calling sephora girls draggies. Pot? Kettle?

1. this is the article that introduced me to jezebel. i was just looking up stuff about working at sephora and then i found this and then more stuff on it and here i am still! lovely.
I have to say, that as a Sephora employee myself, if you don't like your job and are only there for the product, then quit already. I love my job because there IS opportunity for growth and BTW SOS is a week long and you do not get gratis in SOS...that's reserved for encore and phd programs, which if you are not…
I hate to burst anyone's bubble, I used to work at Sephora until quite recently. SOS is a WEEK long and you get maybe two pieces of gratis. You have to wait until Encore to get all the gratis. Sorry! And I've never heard of this "gift" thing. We didn't do that at my location.
I know I only get one shot at this but, I just want to say, Congratulations on getting the worse spy ever! About 95% of what she said was incorrect. SOS is only a week along and Jasmine is going to be super sephora disappointed when she gets there and realizes that SOS is basically a week of school, except they pay…
Okay, you need to find a more informed "Sephora Spy" because this Jasmine girl is just embaressing. Most of her information is not correct and it's sad that you posted this like it's fact. SOS is a week, not a month, and I don't know why she is so excited because it's full of difficult tests and information overload…
Hi. Actually you are incorrect about the pay the employees receive. Believe me, I know. Part time is $9, Full time is $11 or $12 depending on experience as well as health, dental, and 401 K if you prefer. Leads make more. You get a bonus every month if goal for the store is made. The goals differ seasonally.…
@katatwork: Don't know what's like in the States, but in the UK working in a make up store like Sephora was great free tuition when the Stila and Nars folk came in...
I love Sephora. That and Nordstrom's shoe dept are like my idea of Heaven. I am a makeup junkie and Sephora's high prices keep it under control because I'm also cheap.
Anywhere I can snag Black Honey lipstick without having to deal with the goddamn Clinique women is fine by me.
