I scoffed at the idea of a second monitor until I actually got one and it was the greatest thing in the entire world.

Mortal Dictata’s UK Update is a valuable contribution to Jezebel’s Barf Bag. It keeps me up to date on a country that is not my own. Even outside of the Barf Bag he provides valuable insight.

Maybe because they expect their constitutional rights would be upheld.

There will come a day when all these fucknuts are gone. And if I live to see it, I hope the country is still there too. Although I plan on being as far away as possible and I don’t think I plan on coming back.

If our society (and species) survives long enough to see the next century, I hope that we’ll look back at moments like this and wonder why the fucking fuck we spent so much time and energy ruining so many lives over some bullshit argument that marriage can ONLY be between a man and a woman.

Yep. Every so often we get evangelicals and hardcore Christians come over from Ireland to the mainland UK to start spouting their shit at universities and LGBT+ clubs.

Ugh this hits way too close to home. Being constantly told in childhood that you’ll go to hell and never see your family again after you die if you do anything on an arbitrary “bad list” can fuck you up so much. I’m 30 and still dealing with it.
