The Horror...The Horror!
I honestly feel like they just did! Elden Ring feels like playing a Kings Field spiritual successor using Soulsborne mechanics. But that was my experience.
That said I would LOVE a new actual Kings Field built with all those years of game development experience behind it.
I grew up (born in ‘78) knowing that there was a climate crisis not just coming but happening; I was the weird kid who knew the entire high school science curriculum in primary school. It was obvious to me at least that it wasn’t something for the future, it had to be something slowly happening in the background.
But…
I never considered the opening hours dull, and that’s after three complete playthroughs. What it is though is deliberate. Nothing happens in a hurry (except the missable quests, hence three playthroughs for me) and the game always felt like it wanted me to take my time and dawdle a lot. So I did.
“nice” “good” Catholics are exactly the same as the “nice” “good” cops.
They fucking enable the bad ones.
Sins of the father are not the sins of the son.
I don’t know, Arnold is at least somewhat decent. Musk on the other hand is a product of Apartheid South Africa...pretty sure the Fascist Ole Party would be more in his ballpark.
Surely that technology can only be a few decades into the future...
Wouldn’t know, I stopped caring after Man of Steel.
For me the one true Lex was John Shea
When he accused someone literally risking his life to save trapped children of pedophilia I started to actively hate him.
He’s like a knock off Lex Luthor but without the charm, wit, or capability.
You could sell the boat...
BWUUUUUUAAAAAAAAAHMMMMMMMMM!
This is a roguelike I might actually play. I’m really sick of them in general; the last one I liked was Hades and it was really the setting and characters that sold me on that one.
There’s a LOT of women and LGBTQIA folk who aren’t going to survive him. His diseased mind is still sitting front and center in the courts, and houses of power.
I just had the same thought. I got tired of going to funerals for friends 25 years ago.
300 would be plenty for me. I’ve just stopped playing til it’s fixed, got to the point where I can’t even explore in peace.
My current route is...
- buy best TV I can afford dumb or smart.
- NEVER connect it to my network.
- Plug in my PS4 and stream away.
Bollocks, she looks like his child.
Cultural and linguistic inertia. Once something has locked in as “the way” it’s difficult to change a few billion minds on the “new”way. Like it took having a Ukrainian best friend to finally stop me saying “The Ukraine”; I still have to catch myself sometimes because that was how I learned it to begin with.
Ummm, from an Irish woman in Dublin...please don’t come here expecting a Chicago Paddies Day. And don’t ever fucking call it “Patties Day” We don’t celebrate burgers here.
