I always had this daydream of a show about a ship desperately trying to escape a region of space, but just not able to. Like a perfect starship trap, and the whole series is a two sided story about the ship and a team outside the region working independently to get them out.

As the series goes on and resources dry up…

Exactly. I was an older hyper-aware child at the tail end of the Cold War. I have NEVER worried less about nuclear war because that particular genie was left out of the bottle many decades ago and is now just permanently hiding in the darker corners of world leaders with that option open to them.

I was literally about to post this, it’s my favourite way to take coffee; very strong and a half pinch of salt...or I did until I discovered I have seriously bad hypertension and I’m now on a minimum salt diet.
