This was no an accident. That was premedited assault. charging him with road rage is a minimum The cops were just lazy or maybe the cops didn’t like bikes either. Im a cyclist and Im tired of cops trying to explain this nonsense away.

I think there should be a charge of reckless endangerment. Not just the bicyclist but the oncoming traffic as well.

That’s a lot of ifs, probablys and maybes with the luxury of hindsight to base your hypothetical situation on. Given that this guy already attempted to swerve his 2 ton piece of machinery at the bike rider and use it as a weapon, which is enough to seriously maim and kill....who knows what else the guy might do.…

I feel bad for the cyclist, and he fears for his saftey, but goddammit! He needs to press charges. The DA also needs to charge this asshole with attempted murder and send his ass to prison. Otherwise, as it stands, he gets a slap on the wrist and then what? Next time he actually plows into a cyclist and kills him\her?…

Whatever transpired before, the swerving into oncoming traffic to hit/scare the guy in the bike crossed a very big line. Reckless driving should be one of a host of charges. Also, this guy is obviously a great candidate to have his guns taken away.

And they’ll say nothing can be done about cyclist and pedestrian deaths.
