No. People have turned it into a hygiene-thing and have visceral reactions to body hair. That’s incredibly difficult to root out. I wouldn’t count on that happening at every wedding. And considering the expense of some of the meals and the fact that crashers aren’t usually paying anything, it’s obviously not ok. If the people putting on the wedding want to give the food away, that’s their prerogative of course, but crashing is stealing.

I got lost in a hotel where i wasat a reception. Wandered about, found a reception. Took a long time before anyone realized it was the wrong wedding.

I’ve never ‘crashed’ per se, but I did have the experience of wandering down a hotel hallway (in semi-formal attire), having complete strangers that weren’t even particularly inebriated asking me who I was, and then receiving a random invite to join a reception.
