Okay, I’ll try to make a brief one that’s not as scary as others, just mildy interesting and mysterious. I’ll also preface this with - I am NOT a great writer.

I agree on this year’s being a bit of a let down. Not saying they’re not great, but previous years I’d be basically doom scrolling myself to sleep or at my work desk like a fiend. I wish there were more stories being posted this year.

As an individual with first hand experience raising chickens I can tell you this....broiler chickens live a sad life. They grow SO fast that if they’re not culled by 14 weeks they’ll likely die from a heart attack. We have laying hens and a rooster. A co-worker said their kid had 24 chicks from a school experiment

Specialty featherless chicken breeds do exist and they’re creepy as hell looking. People call them churkeys because they resemble a turkey head, but I can’t imagine how they’d handle mass production
