The St. Vincent version is not even recognizable in any way as The Golden Girls theme.

curious how she “made” this from the theme song, as it doesn’t share key, lyrics, tone, rhythm or any musical characteristics at all with the theme. it doesn’t appear to even be samples messed with, it honestly sounds like a cat fell asleep on an synth keyboard.

my boss and i are in a long standing fight because she didnt automatically know which golden girl i am (dorothy) so how can she even claim to know me at all????

I thought we all agreed that there was only one remake we needed.

Harry Weston grows beautiful plumage and takes flight from his nest, leaving it empty, and disappears into the technicolor sunset.

Yeah, the huge fucking difference is that you choose to be a cop - you do not choose to be a racial/ethnic minority. Black people (and other minorities) should not have to be at risk simply for existing. But a cop - if they aren’t prepared to put themselves at risk to protect the populace, then there are countless othe

Also, dangerous as Police work is, it’s more dangerous to be a farmer and a taxi driver, but we don’t hear anyone talking about the brave farmers providing necessary food to society, or the brave taxi drivers helping people get to work every day- and these farmers and taxi drivers aren’t murdering anyone.

That’s exactly right! Yes, being the spouse or family member of a cop would be hard but THAT PERSON CHOSE TO BE A COP. They know they have a dangerous job, they signed up for it!

To be grown up men who are hired to protect the public regardless of their opinion they are very sensitive and emotional. As a woman I always heard that was a bad trait so I’m confused.

Right. Like, cops and their families VOLUNTARILY place themselves in that position. They are PAID in exchange for going to work. When officers are killed or wounded in the line of duty, they and/or their families receive insurance proceeds meant to compensate them for their sacrifice.

They look like whiny babies.

Hey, those cops are putting their lives on the line to protect their communities! They shouldn’t have to put up with reasonable demands to respect black people!

For fucks sake. I am trying very hard to relate to law enforcement perspective, but I am quite tired of being told to think about how their families feel not knowing if their loved ones will come back after work, and the stress that creates. It amazes me that they demand this while failing to understand how black

Whether or not she’s still a millionaire is.............debatable.

Considering almost nothing has actually changed, why would they care?
