Those same people probably happily buy BMWs, funnelling money into the slave-factory-running, Nazi-supporting Quandt family’s pockets. To be clear, I think Musk is a grade A egomaniacal jerk, with very suspect views in many areas, but the nonsense he posts on Twitter about US politics is minor in the scheme of things,

At smaller airports, sure.  In Atlanta?  TSA precheck wait times are just as long as anything else, mostly because 75% of the people flying out of there have it.

Notice I just said TSA.

When I was a kid, I would be standing at the exit of the gate waiting for dad to come back from a business trip. We just went directly to the gate and mom had to keep me from running onto the plane to find dad (to tell him my side of things before she could).

really, wtf, people want to get into the airport for fun... and now I need to wait in a longer line.

Twitter is going to become...”?

So if VW wanted to run an ad saying the E-Tron is better than the Model S, would that be “allowed”?  No wonder competing automakers are taking their ad dollars elsewhere.

Or why would they advertise on a platform that’s looking more and more like exactly the kind of hellscape dumpsterfire Musk said it wasn’t going to turn into?

“It also raises questions of whether Musk will remain neutral”

What is, I think, misleading about the statistics is that Tesla registrations increased *only* 50 %. They still sell more EV’s than all other competitors combined. It is easier for Ford or GM to increase by 70 % because they sell a fraction of the EV’s Tesla does.

Or tweeting to vote Republican.

You definitely are not alone. I have been shopping for an EV for a while now and picked up an I3 with the range extender as kind of happy middle-of-the-road solution until prices return to normal and I can convince the wife to let me buy a rivian. It is a small car but with the little generator and some software

I want an EV.  I do not want to enrich Elon “Trust Fund Baby” Musk.  So no Teslas on my radar, that’s for certain.  I can’t imagine I’m alone in that.  That could present a real problem for Tesla if I’m anything but a small minority of buyers.

5th gear: Why the hell would automakers advertise on their competitor's media?

Great - now apologize for the unnecessary “Home Improvement” clone “Last Man Standing”.

That’s the funniest human being I’ve ever been around, other than me, and we never got a shot to do a real big scene together.

“The team at the North Pole, including star Tim Allen, was too high on their own supply of gingerbread and eggnog to recognize this movie in which Santa fights Jack Frost for control of the holiday season was on the naughty list.”

I’m literally dealing with that situation right now supporting code from a guy who just left our project. Just block after block of copy/pasted code with tiny little alterations. Job one for the new guy is going to be refactoring that into something that doesn’t make me want to vomit (and something that we can

I once worked with a scripter who would copy-paste script blocks and make minor alterations to each pasted part to achieve something resembling iteration. Like, dude didn’t really understand looping.

There was an article somewhere a while back that showed that hands-free devices for talking on the phone weren’t very effective at reducing distraction because shockingly the issue isn’t having a phone in your hand, it’s the distraction of talking to someone and not thinking about driving. But they also showed that
