I’m white and most definitely have cousins— which include Moose, Butchie, and Mooch. Snooky and Dutch are more distant relatives, and I was grown before I ever knew their real names.

I don’t know why Americans are so stupid about small cars. My one and only car is a Fiat 500, and not once since buying it have I wished I had something bigger.

This is exactly what I came to say. I got my 500 last year, and I now can Park Where Others Cannot Park. It’s been beautiful :)

Heh, that IS a problem for visitors to my small town. Almost all of the longtime residents here have either Polish or German last names. We who’ve lived here forever tend to forget that not everyone knows how to pronounce them. :)

I grew up on MASH too-- I know what you mean about them feeling like actual family. It’s the most comforting thing I can think of to watch when I need a little escape.

Seriously. My cousin was born with a very severe cleft; she had almost no palate at all. She couldn’t eat properly, and she had problems breathing. She went through surgeries and therapies that no tiny child should have to endure. But hey, if it makes for a “cute” scar.....  Ugh.

Agreed. There are people sitting on enough wealth in this country to allow every single person who wants an education to have one. There’s no excuse for this hoarding shit we have going on-- no one gets seconds until EVERYONE has first been served.

I don’t get the hate- or lack of love, at least- for the Fiat 500. I’ve had one since May, and I absolutely love it. It’s tiny and fun and cute, and I can park where others can not. Win.
