She is the best thing on that show.

My understanding is that the producers choose Channel 4 for the amount they were offering, even after The BBC upped their sum.
It seems they miscalculated on the rest of the cast's willingness to go with them. As a judge, Paul Hollywood is not a draw for me.

The analogy makes me wish I'd ever laid eyes on this show.

OK.

Her own words.
Rewatch the show and listen to Brooke, at that point she did not blame anyone but owned that she made a mistake.
It's not a big deal to admit mistakes in life.

The new season on a different channel won't have Mary, Mel or Sue.

LMAO!

Have seen every season of the original. Not the edited PBS version.
It is indeed focused solely on the baking.
Pity that version has died.

I disagree on John deserving it more than Brooke, but that parfait challenge was the beginning of the end for all the other chefs.

Right, I forgot about that.

There are others here who feel like this.

Yes, about a week before the beginning of season 3.
April 1st I think.

P. S.
I have no problems with Brooke as a chef. It's with how the show handled giving her the win.
It leaves an opening about how derserving it was on her part.

Her comments are clear in my mind as it's the only part of the episode I watched. She did not say the hotel forgot to deliver it (had that been the case, wouldn't the hotel simple find a way to get it to her?).
Her words were "I forgot to order it", which is why her attitude towards Shirley annoyed me.

Perfectly stated.

Yeah, the longer Tom judges like this, the more credibility he loses.
Brooke is bulshitting. She clearly said that SHE made a mistake and forgot to order it when she asked Shirley for the pork belly.
Can you say ungracious in her win…

Randall,
Thank you very much for providing this space to share our views on TC during this season.

I liked him in L&O Criminal Intent.
The acting style that did not work in Daredevil worked well and fit the character on L&O with his idiosyncrasies.
I haven't seen him in anything else that I can recall.

Starting with subtlety is a great first step, then finding a few more acting ranges other than over the top rage and contempt would help.

OK.
