The entire show very much leans to the left of Trump but Diane in particular is a Democrat with deep roots and a fan of Hillary Clinton.

In this case, it was used once (maybe twice). I am not making excuses for the curse word, just saying that it may not be as bad as you fear.
I don't watch HBO shows so I haven't any basis of comparison.

Clearly, they don't. This is why I think it won't work.

I was saying hello to you as I remembered your comments on TGW. That's why I said we are back… this is the only show we have in common.

And we are back.
Hello.

Yes, but to do it too early may impede a separation in the minds of fans between both shows.
I want this show to stand on it's own; for example, I was happy to see that David Lee doesn't make another appearance this season, no matter how much I enjoyed him on TGW.

Thanks for the reminder of that possibility.

I don't think so, she was fired as soon as Diane walked out of the conference room, at that point there hadn't been time for them to review the video or figured out who found it.

I feel slightly different about that. I look forward to her struggles as a new lawyer learning the ropes in court.
I can't fault her for her parents actions or hold her privilege against her. I do think she will be facing lots of angry broke people as it is human nature.

As I sit here taking in the first two episodes, I see a big flaw in the CBS format; having to wait for weekly installments when you are paying extra.
I want the option to binge the show (or not), that's what makes the other subscription services exciting for me and others.
I hope it works out enough to keep the show

At this point, I think staying away from Alicia is a good move. The show needs to settle in it's own without her.

The writers have certainly created a setting for future exploration.

Kayla,
Thank you for getting this up so quickly.

It may be in later episodes.

I think she was fired because of her relationship to Diane. David fired her after Diane announced she was leaving to another firm.

Indeed, this was the best place to hang out after watching TGW.

No

I will agree that the first half of episode 01 was a bit underwhelming, to me it picked up towards the end and definitely in episode 02 (released online).
I do see your comparison to TGW, and I hope that within a few more showings, that Good Wife aura will dissipate.

Kayla,
It's exciting that the show will be reviewed by a fan.

I signed up for CBS All access yesterday and it was worth every penny.
Really enjoyed the opening episode and I agree with most of your observations Kayla.
In my eyes, here are the
