The Mitch / Cam storyline offended me on behalf on Cristians. Considering that I AM NOT one, this says a lot.
Such lazy storytelling. Modern Family is at that stage where you know they are hanging around for the $ the show makes for ABC and the steady paycheck of the actors.
They have no more stories to tell.

I think the numbers are very low, I blame that on how they set up the show.
The first 5 episodes I wondered why was I watching this terrible show. I didn't change my mind until last week.
I hope it is renewed but I doubt it.

Also his being alive sets up future seasons (if it is renewed), where him mom as governor has to face the horrible dishonesty that she agreed to last night in order to save her campaign.

When she was going up against him I thought, wow this is refreshing, they are equals and it will be fun to watch them play this out.
It made it less believable that she went back like nothing specially after what she said when he was in the hospital.

Yep,
I blame these bad shows on our drive to stretch something into multiple seasons. As opposed to producing something that was good even if it was short.
The characters are so one note.

I naively didn't think they could get worse than last season.
Silly me. To watch this show, you have to give up all notion and politics, government and leave your brains on the couch next to you.
This is bad.
The saddest part is that they think it's good.
