How long until people start blaming SJWs for this as well?

The issue with the Xbox One is that, from pretty much day one, Microsoft piloted the thing into also ran territory.
Man, I’d forgotten that I couldn’t suspend my games before March. Wild to think of. That one “little” feature makes a huge difference for adults with responsibilities. I can pop out of a game, watch a movie with the gf, turn it off without a worry, and jump right back into the action when I’m out of work the next day.
I also just want to point out: a year after I wrote a review of Far Cry 4 saying arguing that the animals in the game were far more interesting than the people in it, and that the series should just focus on animals instead of being Yet Another Shooter, Ubisoft announced a new Far Cry game set in a prehistoric era…
You’re right that it’s easier said than done. I have no doubt that a lot of people who work for Konami’s US and EU teams are looking for new jobs, but there are only so many opportunities out there.
Easier said than done to get a new job... though if I were working there, I’d sure as hell start looking for a new one
Uh. What?
Why can’t adults analyze children’s shows? The shows are produced by adults with an adult purpose: to educate the young. This is the point of the critique: Sesame Street is drifting away from its original mission. The show was created by a group of educators, child development experts, and philanthropists to show that…
I’m not going to assume that you don’t have children, but this is precisely the way that I would have responded before I had children. While I may not disagree with the premise that Sesame Street is “ruined”, the over-Elmoing of the show is something I dealt with as a parent and the author does make some valid points…
I know the phenomenon you’re talking about and I agree that every generation of parents is subject to this desire to have things be just like they were when they were kids. But I think it’s more of a sense of loss b/c Sesame Street was just brilliant and we want it to keep serving the same purpose now as it did back…
Kids 0-4 development doesn’t change no matter how much technology does. He’s lamenting the changes in the shows merit and quality. Saying ‘don’t let his kids watch’, completely misses the point.
Fam, ain’t nothing critical happening here.
“you’re instead targeting freaking Elmo for acting like your average 5 year old would.”
The author is very much aware that the nature of television has changed. That is the entire point of the article.
I’m only talking about this particular article. I don’t see anything wrong with being critical of attention being given to a character to the detriment of the show’s teaching moments. Sesame Street has often been used as a jumping off point for educational conversations between parent and child - if Elmo takes that…
I disagree, I think the article has valid points. And as easy as it is to say “your kids shouldn’t get (insert whatever) from television! Shitty parenting alert!” most adults will acknowledge that TV shows taught them things as children. I watched Sesame Street as a kid and it did help shape me. Does that mean my…
Yes, let’s not critically think and write about the media our children consume, let’s just let them blindly watch anything. Sounds like good parenting skills...
Gameshark was for singleplayer gamers, so not a good comparison. If you want to cheat to high heaven in Fallout 4, go ahead, heck there’s a console engine for that. When you’re playing with other people it’s different, though.
Shouldn’t this hissyfit be in German?
