@PhillyLass: You are correct but the entire part where parents who direct their children away from oppositional gender behavior are seen as bad parents really bothers me.

@phlogiston: I just wanted to open up the dialogue to the reality of most parents who do not allow their children the same options as Angie has allowed Shiloh.

@ManicPixieNightmare: If most people let a little kid express his or herself through clothing, then no one else gives a crap.

I think that Shiloh is in a privileged position and Angie also. Shiloh can act outside of gender expectations with less repurcusions than someone of different social status. It just bugs me tons when a celebrity can sit there from their financial and social tower of success and wag their finger at everyone else

@Gretchen: You don't know. Your mom may be tested on knowledge of Pabst yearly.

Is he going to tour with The String Cheese Incident next?

Is Helen Peters actually Gladys Kravitz?

@lilyHaze: It was probably swapped. On the other hand, I worked in a dresses section with a few associates who did not master the art of knowing when a dress had been worn and returned.

If I can not blame the South then however will I will vindicated and self-righteous?

@vamusical: Yes. Using the terms redneck, hick, and white trash make you no better and if not worse.

@SophR: People would stop saying "Oh they/you are just a sales associate/waitress."

@SophR: I think you are on to something. I think it should be either waitressing or sales associate for everyone.

@Tee got her Doctor Who fix!: I am convinced there is a portion of the population that goes shopping just to rag on young women sales associates to make themselves feel better.

@The HZA.: I always felt incredibly guilty asking. I could go on for hours about how gender played into it and hmmm it was always the young attractive ladies that worked in the men's department that had the most credit cards opened.

Sales Associates are polite and speak in coded terms because we deal we many a hot headed crazy person who takes out their anger for life on us.

@emaline: Politics is the same way for a lot of people.

@Hortense Smith: This is possible but the fact that she is pantsless often I wonder. Maybe she always throws a denim jacket down before sitting.
