Did Tinsley Mortimer leave half her dress in the limo?
Did Tinsley Mortimer leave half her dress in the limo?
@Imjustnotthatintoyou: I think your point is non-existent. I do not see anything other than crying about representation of Carrie Bradshaw which is not relevent to the lived experience of a Muslim woman and her critique of popular culture.
@kaiwhakamarie: UGH! I just got shot down for trying to argue that point. I'm giving up, again.
There was a summer were my classes included: Archery/Golf, Voice [it was singing], and Yoga/Pilates.
@SamIam24: It is incredibly frustrating and makes me wonder if they even picked up on the cultural ignorance in the movie.
@morninggloria: Maybe SATC3 will be a prequel to SATC2.
@SamIam24: I just stopped arguing 2 posts in with someone. They aren't offended by the representation of the Middle East. They are mad that their beloved Carrie Bradshaw is being portrayed as a bigot.
@Imjustnotthatintoyou: This author is addressing SATC2 alone not SATC but I don't think SATC was culturally aware at all and you can claim Carrie in SATC wouldn't have written this.
@HowCanYouDrinkAllDay...?: I was really hoping for that in the movie. Super fashionable women in hijab with the beautiful beading and embroidery. I even assumed there would be a humorous schtick about the ladies wearing the hijab and praising the fashion of the Middle East.
@Sputnik_Sweetheart: Thank you. I don't want to tell anyone they are wrong for being insulted but c'mon.
@Imjustnotthatintoyou: Based on the content of SATC2, I think it seems pretty accurate.
@Imjustnotthatintoyou: But based on the content of SATC2, that is what Carrie Bradshaw's character has become.
@MelissaMahoney: You know what is more annoying than the direspect of the Middle East apparent in SATC2? When people do not read the entire post making fun of SATC2 and do not realize it is satire.
@kaiwhakamarie: Same here. I also had it like an episode and played clips from the movie as she narrated.
@pastanaut: This is suppose to be in Carrie Bradshaw's voice. Re-read it and picture her on her laptop typing it up and narrating while you replay the clips from the movie.
@kaiwhakamarie: Did you picture her sitting in bed on the laptop or at the desk by a window?
Even though I'd like to think of myself as a strong and independent woman, most of my thoughts and choices have involved Big, and I believe every woman has the right to a Big in her life.
@SarahMC: Well you know if girls didn't tempt them none of this would be a problem.
I wonder why there isn't more attention drawn to the alcohol related deaths of young men in the sense of "Don't go out and get hammered. You could kill yourself."
