Brookes is the worst kind of fucking Right Wing DBag. He has access to all the best data, writing from authors doing great work in uncovering the causes, symptoms, and costs of institutional racism. He has everything he needs to shed light (and maybe some heat) into real issues.

Thisis a brilliant take. In Brooke’s head, being in the middle class somehow shield black men - which cis only a fraction of POCs in the US - from racism.

Black people that can’t get jobs because of systemic racism should join the military so they can maybe die for the country that doesn’t care about them. But hey, if you live at least you’ll be in the middle class?!

I find it amusing that there’s no place for David Brooks in today’s GOP because he isn’t racist enough.

Listening to Brooks, is like encouraging your boring Uncle Murray to explain macroeconomics and the markets at Thanksgiving dinner, after he’s had a couple glasses of bad red wine. It’s gonna be a bad time.

Even when they can acknowledge racism exists, they’ve still got to throw in that “but where are the fathers in the black community” stuff. Pathology is a helluva drug.
