I agree with you 100%. Vote and vote in every election. Vote in elections where the only thing on the ballot is whether to give the library more money.

I’ll agree that it is disappointing, but his surface “it doesn’t matter who is voted in” reason was the reason why a lot of people didn’t vote in 2016. And given the routine disenfranchising of non-whites in the US, I can understand (to a degree) his deeper reason of “if you’re the oppressed, the oppressor isn’t going

And Kaepernick, who was/is respectful and has walked the walk in a lot of way, still has no team AND just had the whole Madden kerfuffle.

I would not doubt it. I still remember the Oscars where they made the niche categories accept the award in the audience and I was just as annoyed then. Those categories are just as important to getting a film made, but the people who do them get very little recognition. I mean how many cinematographers, which I

I clicked the link for that Peru story and man....that’s a sad story.

I really love when businesses make it super easy for me to never give them my money.

As someone who knows more than one person in a so-called niche category, fuck the decision to keep that category out. I’d rather that those winners get to say thank you to the people who are largely responsible for the film than to hear the acting winners thank the same people they did for GG, SAG, and BAFTA.

Given that Twitter refuses to kick off certain people who routinely violate their so-called terms of service, this isn’t a surprise.

I’ve only ever had these TJ xiao long bao (like you I live in an area that mostly only has a few pho shops and what most Americans have considered Chinese food) and I can tell you that they are very delicious. I would go to Trader Joe’s today and buy a box...or 3.

This entire thread is killing my soul.

Letter writer, I hear those sort of thing a fair amount of time and I can tell you that I pay very little attention to that sort of patter. I guarantee that this is true for most of your customers. Do upsell recommendations with a clear conscience that everyone knows what is going on.

I find it frustrating that they’re saying things like the statement below. When your selling point is that people can see a movie a day for $9.95, you cannot then call out people for using your service like that.

He’s been spewing this nonsense for YEARS. It’s taken over a decade to get to this.

I’ve been seeing a lot of ‘just you wait libs, soon you’ll face the same issues’ and all I can think is that I haven’t told grieving parents that they’ve used the kids as crisis actors or pedalled the idea that the US government is setting up concentration camps in Walmarts.....

You know it.

It doesn’t matter if this movie is so terrible that it beat...whatever the de rigeur bad movie is...as the the worst movie ever because I will be dragged to see this by my sister. And I really don’t have that much attachment to Pooh. So that’ll be fun.

I say go directly to the manager with this. Either she’ll get better or she’ll leave. Not everyone is meant to be a server and she may very well be one of those who shouldn’t.

Why do you say that?

I was one of the people who scooped it up.

PETA annoys me so much that I want to go find the President of PETA and eat a half-dozen lobsters in front of them.
