If you believed and loved your daughter though, and especially if you had the money, wouldn’t you go after the person sexually harassing her? By telling her to just leave her job, it’s basically saying, “Well, if you’re telling the truth, just quit, and if it’s not as bad as you say, you’ll stay.” Either way, the

i think this is a valuable point. but i also think it’s combined with the idea that it is still the woman’s responsibility.

It is an interesting piece of psychology to analyze the Trump voter.

Yeah he just reminded us he doesn’t understand the concept of a world where you don’t have a trust fund to support you between jobs. It was his *son* who suggested that it’s your own fault if your harassed. Which, I mean, the implication there is his father probably believes it too, but his father didn’t actually say

You signed yourself up for that level of stupid, broh. These folks are trying to do a job, supposedly while on the world’s stage...

Phone: [was never connected in the first place]

[phone falls apart]

It would be tricky. She could still likely successfully sue because of several factors. 1. Being overheard potentially is not the same as being recorded actively and having said recording released. 2. It’s hard to prove that she knew. The fact that the main source would be the tape is not the slam dunk everyone here

I see this comment a lot, but what does Tswift have to gain from this? This is all just making her look bad. I don’t think she’s in the “any news is good news” category. She wants to be liked or in the right—this makes her looks bad and in the wrong. Why would she stage this and what possible gain does she get?

I’d argue that difference should extend to legally. Your conversation is heard by 4 people vs your conversation is heard by 40 million people. Doesn’t seem like a huge stretch in logic that those should be view (socially and legally) as much different situations.

This is why I don’t talk to Kanye on the phone.

I feel like there’s a huge fucking difference between having a conversation with multiple people and having a conversation with multiple people that is recorded and then shared WITH THE REST OF THE GOD DAMN WORLD.

ME. I am deeply invested in this entire fiasco.

the full lyrics totally change the context of the line she signed off on though.

She’s saying she didn’t know about the “I made that bitch famous” part...which, I think is pretty fair of her to be more upset about actually. There’s a reason he didn’t continue the lyrics lol

That poster means the line where he calls her a bitch. That's the part Taylor is holding on to to defend herself.

She always said that there’d been one phone call, just that it never included talking about the offending line or playing the song for her, which according to the leaked videos still stands as true.

Here’s a primer: you can break federal and state law with one act.

That's actually even worse then though. That's blatantly illegal and against wiretapping laws
