Just fully read the article. My idea was already scooped. Damn.

Brace yourselves: what about spoons? I’m overseas at a conference and at the coffee breaks there is a container of clean spoons and then a container for you to put the dirty spoons. Then they wash them.
Exactly this. Also, a bit like a smart Bruce Willis.
Not only is it hilarious, it is written in such a smart way. The way that lines of dialogue return later in the movie (Hag). Wright is such a tight filmmaker - he doesn’t waste the audience time with needless dialogue or pointless scenes. Everything builds quickly.
Without reading the staff picks first, here are the ones that “define” me, which I interpret to mean not the films that reflect my life experience, but rather that have spoken to me the most deeply and that I return to again and again.
Water chestnuts and raw tomatoes? I’m with you.
They’re married?!? They’re both so awesome! This makes me stupid happy. Good luck to those crazy kids.
You posted this at the perfect time - I had just gotten some beautiful rainbow carrots from my CSA, and hated to toss the greens. I added about a 1/2 cup of basil to them to make it more like a traditional pesto and it tasted great! One problem occurred with the stalks twisting around the blade - I ended up having the…
DC has also become invested with these things. It’s bad enough when tourists try to bike on sidewalks, but now we have to contend with these tiny shit scooters.
Well, I can’t imagine that this will be a contentious post.
Love musicals, but I’m not a fan of this trend of taking movies and turning them into generic-sounding “Wicked” rip-offs. Here are some examples of movie-to-musical shows on Broadway right now: “Frozen”, “Anastasia”, “Aladdin”, “Kinky Boots”, “School of Rock”, “Pretty Woman”. Yes, some of these have been around for…
My husband is the sweetest guy, but by far one of his most annoying traits is that he has a compulsion to calculate his tip so that the bill ends in .00 (i.e. if the original bill is $10.95, he will calculate so that it shows up in his credit card statement for $13.00 exactly). It probably doesn’t matter, but I feel…
“I hesitate to talk about schools in general...”
Just saw the sketch this is from for the first time - just gold.
I’m a much bigger Mickey fan this season than in the past seasons. She seems like she’s finally getting her shit together. I don’t understand why she’s still with Gus, who is teetering on the edge of a nervous breakdown.
Bertie is the best. Honestly, I think I tolerate the rest of the show just so I can see her story unfold. She has such a radiant energy.
I learned from Mozart in the Jungle that Dermot Mulroney can play cello.
“Mr. Pattis showed the jury security camera footage of the two walking back to her dorm, in which the complainant appeared to be leaning on Mr. Khan, her leg dragging slightly behind her.
Funny how Oliver or Stewart are never described as shrill.
I don’t watch the show, but came here to say that having that creepy dummy-like dude front and center on the site def woke me up more than my coffee this morning.
