Harder than FF3's Dark Cloud? I don't think I'd go that far.

Actually, it's commonly pronounced "Sessil" over in Europe.

What? My plastic minis are far more resilient than my metal ones. The tiny little pewter bits will easily break off if they get bent, and longer bits like swords or spears can only get bent a few times before they'll snap off. The plastic ones easily bend and flex, and the paint will scrape off of them long before

Modern plastic minis have just as much detail as the pewter ones and are an order of magnitude cheaper... so, that's what happened to them. They're going to look the same anyway after I put paint on them, so why pay so much?

I'd rather be labeled a gamer than a gaming "journalist" right now. I've known gaming journalism was pretty unprofessional, but this recent kerfluffle has really opened my eyes as to just how terrible it is. I've never seen so much nepotism and blatant disregard for ethics. There are a lot of people at several

Sounds to me like you haven't seen a lot of porn from different countries, really. Stuff from Japan is usually pretty mild, really.

Or, you know, go play games that are actually fun.

Are you seriously trying to tell him that because he's white and male, he can't be a victim and shouldn't talk about it? Seriously? That's wonderfully inclusionary of you.

You know that this game also has werewolves, pandas, and space goats in it, too, right?

I also picked Bulbasaur when I first played Pokemon Red. Since then I've become more of a Squirtle fan, but I like them both more than Charmander. Silly fire lizard.

In some game systems it's fine if you never really keep track of health or damage, but in some systems (like D&D or Pathfinder), a significant part of the system's draw is that it's very crunchy, and players can spend a lot of time tweaking and optimizing their abilities to control how well they do in combat. If you

The secret is to make the players think you're going for a TPK.

Rarely have I felt doubt like I felt, and still feel, about my thermal paste. Please don't talk to me about my thermal paste. I'm serious.

Would you believe that people pay for their games, too?

Here's something that'll really cause you to blow a vein: my wife regularly refers to the Vita as "the new PSP." Sometimes just "the PSP," even.
