Are you being intentionally obtuse now? What good is that backup going to do you if you can't connect to the Steam servers? You realize you still have to log in and authenticate to do that, right?

Then I'll be glad I had a backup, because that's something I can control and prepare for.
No, it doesn't. After I download a game's installer from GOG, I can put it on a spare hard drive or into cloud storage somewhere, and I'll always be able to access it, even if GOG disappears tomorrow. You can't do that with Steam.
So, worst case scenario. Let's say that several years from now, Steam's competitors (UPlay, Origin, etc.) have all gained a lot of market share. Steam is still pretty popular but not the king any more. Then it turns out out that the guys in charge of Steam have been embezzling money, committing tax fraud, or…
(No, it's not resting on the carpet, in case you're wondering.)
I think you meant "The majority of people don't smoke where I live". That is not true everywhere.
Here's how it always happens: if the majority of people smoke, businesses will allow smoking, because they're going to make more money from allowing smoking than they would gain from banning it.
You'd think two minutes wouldn't be much time, except for the fact that my phone exists so I can communicate with people I care about, not so that people I don't know who don't care about me can call five times a day when I'm working, talking to a friend, or eating dinner, because they feel like answering their…
I am still confused, how is having a gay character in a game any more "PC sexual politics" than having straight characters? How does that not "let kids be kids"? How would having gay characters stop them from enjoying their "innocence" any more than straight characters?
Not sure if you realize this, but being gay or straight isn't something you "decide". Most kids figure out who they're attracted to pretty early on.
I sure would hate for kids to play as characters they can identify with.
If you're gonna pirate it, might as well track down the PSX version. It's considerably improved over the SNES one.
Also, faith is, by definition, irrational. There is no such thing as "Rational Faith".
So let me confirm this: you're saying that it's better for children to spend their childhoods in orphanages until they're kicked out at 18 with no long-term, supportive relationships than it is for them to be raised by a loving homosexual couple.
You could also easily say that improving the morale of homosexuals would benefit society. So far, your "logic" has not provided any reason why homosexuality is bad but equal rights for women is good.
If you're trying to say that anybody who doesn't produce a family shouldn't be a part of society, then you're also excluding people who aren't interested in romantic relationships at all. Besides, why do you think homosexual couples can't be part of a family? Let's talk about all the kids in orphanages and foster…
Your original reply seems to imply that Japan shouldn't accept equal treatment of women. Why do you think homosexuality "doesn't make objective logical sense" but treating women equally does? I'm not sure you understand how evolution works.
Wow, I didn't realize you were against equal rights for women, too.
We're talking specifically about the new Smash Bros. here. We know Power Suit Samus is in the game, but how much have they showed of her vs. Zero Suit Samus?
No, just Samus in Other M. Stop inferring things that I'm not saying.
