Oh my God...me want.

@MeMikeYouNot: No, I was just about to nominate ash78 for COTD. :)

That was too easy...Triumph in a landslide.

Three weeks after I sold it. He walked away, amazingly.

Car and Driver's 0-60 for the 550i was 5.2 seconds, which I'm pretty sure is less than 5.3 seconds.

The Rustang, if only for the phrase "Ready to be finished..."

@smalleyxb122: Also, there are some eagles under the floorboards.

Come on, it's gotta be the 1975 Oleg Cassini AMC Matador, from a previous PCH:

I love the fact that the latest registration sticker showing on the plate is '84.

Did that thing start life as a 4 door?

Some strange wheel adaptor action going on up front. I wonder what this thing's hiding?

Austin Gipsy because until 60 seconds ago I'd never even heard of one.

@Mink66: Duh, just realized it's a chop. Back on the short bus for me.

@vr6john: So what's the story? That is some amazing sleuthing!

Reminds me of Tom Mabe:

Hmmmm...square pushbutton door handles along with big side windows and wide side trim indicate 1965 or early 1966. However, 4-lug front wheels indicate 1968+. So it's either had a pan swap or it's an early '66 with a later front beam swap. Best I can do with it.

@morrisseyscoot: True, it was probably 50% mechanically better, at the cost of 100% of its character. Splits rule, Bays drool. :)

1967 to 1968 VW Transporter.
