A lot of the profits end up staying in the US to be reinvested. There are large taxes on moving profits overseas. GM had this same problem with Opel before WWII, they couldn’t shift their profits back to the states.

Is it not possible to see if the service was completed through Audi? I’d imagine that if it was done at a dealership, they could tell you what the car has gone though over the years. I could be completely wrong about that though.

Totally agree...

I just don't get it...you could live in NJ, and not be stuck on an island that costs $15 to get off, and you wouldn't have to pay the ridiculous NYC taxes. If you want suburban living (which is what SI is) live in Jersey or LI.

I want this...

Checked a couple places online, and for a $25,000 car the cost is about $150. That's not "very expensive"

Just get some track day insurance...peace of mind is worth $150

This always gets me

Tavarish article circa 2035

I have a document due by the end of the day (among many others that happened to be due on the same day despite my protestations) and I've been waiting to get into it ALL DAY LONG...These posts have put me in a destructive mood

Bear Mountain is the TITS

They're out there man, you just have to find them!

Right on the website they say the'll do anything from a 280 SL to a 300D...

Exactly...I used to parallel park a Suburban on the REGZ...Just had to look out the back windows son.

Reminds me of Steve Bartman a little bit...

Is this out west? I haven't seen them anywhere out here.

I feel like there could actually be a decent market for these things...Sell some to the army for use on base, sell some to dudes who hate doors...the possibilities are endless.

I saw the pic and was all like "OMG...I see a Jeep, and I LIKE IT!!"

The only problem I see is if you're going from your place in the 'burbs or the city to some place remote that doesn't necessarily have a ready supply of super cargers...that's really the only problem I can think of. Taking your electric car skiing would likely be problematic.

Right! I experience a little twinge of range anxiety on most trips....can I squeak by and stop at the next rest stop? Did I just make a horrible mistake? Is the cop going to laugh at me for running out of gas? Why didn't I just stop?
