There was a follow up DS game, I believe, but it didn’t do much to move the plot forward, I think.

Is there any news on what “streamlining” the game might entail?  Having heard good things about the games narrative, I’d considered trying to pick it up.  Hearing that it may become a cliff notes version of itself in an effort to get people to the expansions is a bit concerning.

Perhaps I’m confused, but I think your math is off here.
Per your calculation, after 10 years they make a Million dollars. But they are paying 1.1 Billion dollars for the privilege. So they won’t be breaking even. And we would expect prices to continue to rise, likely much more quickly after their committed period

Does anyone else find Jessie’s new HD appearance (her face in particular) as a sort of midway point between Tifa and Aerith?

It seems like this, and other similar warnings, could be avoided if the developer added the loot monetization feature in after the fact as part of a patch.  Does anything prevent this?

I am simultaneously pleased, and not pleased by this development. I still think it’d be fun to play through a graphical revamped copy of the original game, perhaps one which elaborates on the original game in the way the Remake seemed to do.

I adore the room games, however the asking price of $30 is a bit steep for me.  I look forward to the hopefully inevitable steam sale though.

It’ll be a missed opportunity if they don’t add some straight lines to their logo, transforming it into three rods of Aesclepius.

At least locally, Spectrum has also decided to push a rate increase during the pandemic, when most people won’t be able to easily switch.

One imagines the seller may suffer significant remorse for not taking the $1.2 million offer, if such was actually offered.

Depending on which flu-like symptoms she had, it may have ruled out Covid-19. Apparently the illness usually causes a dry cough, with no running nose or sneezing.  The flu, on the other hand, is typically much wetter.

Setting it in the future would seem to suck the drama out of any current story line, ala Arthur Dent and Stavromula Beta?

The renegade actions just always struck me as sub-optimal in a game that quickly became about uniting the Galaxy against an existential threat.  Alienating allies and pointlessly killing people you might need later just seemed... counterproductive?

After trying Coke Energy, my operating theory is that there was an industrial accident in which someone spilled a can of Coke into a vat of Red Bull and corporate just decided to roll with it.

Carbuncle: “I come from France!”

Hello, officer?  I’d like to report a stolen Cthulhu.  Uh huh.  Green, has dragon wings.  Yes, I’ll hold.

Cayde 6, the once and future Cayde?

It’s got a bit of a Milgram experiment vibe to it, doesn’t it?

Given its legendary durability, it seems like the “Future Relic” variant of the original Game Boy would just be... an original Game Boy.

A friend of mine was a huge SOM fan, so we spent a weekend marathoning that game. As I was leaving from that, he let me borrow his copy of LOM, which I then beat over the next week.
