I think we all know what Xatu sees in the future: Ash.
It exists in a constant temporal flux, everything a bizarre amalgamation of their past and future states.  But Ash... Ash is the only constant.  Eternal, unchanging, horrifying.

The problem, it has always seemed to me, is that Collector’s editions are produced when the game launches. You basically have to buy one blind, not knowing if you’re going to care enough about the game to actually treasure the collector’s edition.
The fact that most CE’s contain junk doesn’t help.
In general, I’d avoid

I’ll be curious to see how this pans out. Ditching features in on SKU seems like it’ll mean that those features fall by the wayside in all the SKUs?
Meanwhile, Nintendo has a history of making some games exclusive to their refreshed hardware?
It just seems like a massively confusing way to fragment your user base?

There is a price point at which I don’t care about these concerns.  Given the nature of the service, it is highly unlikely that Google reaches it.  But if it’s cheap enough ...

The difference between the lowest tier of Netflix and Crunchyroll is now $1?

Having been a fan since anime was considerably more expensive, the price increase strikes me as fairly trivial. It does, however raise some concerns about Crunchyroll going forward. If one had to choose between say Crunchy and Netflix, and the price points were roughly equal, what would you pick? Many people

A slight difference in that there won’t be a console you have to buy for the privilege.  Whether or not that makes a difference, I don’t know.

This is simple, but I found it quite charming.
Makes me nostalgic for the original.

Feige’s answer from the quote makes it sound like they’re leaving it open for more Earth based Captain Marvel sequels that take place before the main events of the MCU.

I sort of adore the gag that he feels contractually obligated to beat cancer.

There was a Battle Angel video game released in ‘98 for the PS1.
Gunnm: Martian Memory
The plot used for the game seems to be the basis for the plot of the other Battle Angel comics: Last Order and Mars Chronicle.

Hmm.  After sampling their online demo, they’ve got a ways to go.  Certainly they make one’s voice sound different... but the result isn’t yet believably human.

Not a place where I expected to see a Deception 4 pun?

I’m curious how this will affect their Mixed Reality Headset platforms, if at all. Those headsets seemed to work by, essentially, emulating a Holo-lens in a virtual space. It’ll be interesting to see if any of the improvements to the Holo-Lens trickle down. Accurate hand tracking in particular would be nifty.

I ran the Google Stream beta on a low end cable connection with old routing equipment. On the whole, it still worked really well. I was genuinely surprised.
That said, I’m still much faster than many rural connections, which I imagine won’t be able to take advantage.

If he’s still following the outline provided by Martian Memory, then there’s been a planned sequence of events for roughly 20 years.

I think it’s pretty clear there was a long term plan in place when the premature ending happened. A PS1 game was released in 1998, after the original series ended in ‘95, but before Last Order called Gunnm: Martian Memory.  I’ve only read a rough translation, but it went through the events of the original Manga, then

It’s worth pointing out that the ending of the manga at vol.9 was forced by executive meddling and illness on the mangaka’s part.  The story continues (ignoring the original resolution) in the Last Order series and is now being concluded in Mars Chronicle.

I always remember seeing that in game and thinking how anomalously high resolution it seemed to be in comparison to the surrounding textures.
I wonder if I could recreate the effect with clever use of surrounding wallpaper or paint.

The article title makes it sound like the game’s characters are a bit flat.
