Offhand, the price seems high, but it’s hard to make a final judgement without seeing the system in the wild and running actual games.
As to paying for online play, I can’t see myself doing that.

Considering the last shots of the game are Red XIII wandering through an abandoned Midgar some 500 years later, one could argue that they went through with killing off most of the party by the end of the game.
Out of curiosity, with an older Prius did you experience any issues with the hybrid battery? I’d heard that they tended to “have cells fail” around the 8 - 10 year mark.
I drove an 85 camry until 2013. Would still be driving it now if I could.
There are two games, off the top of my head, that I want the Wii U for. I’ve purchased other systems (SEGA CD I’m looking at you) for roughly the same amount, but $300 is a significant investment.
So I’ve never really inderstood this. Yamcha in the original Dragon Ball seemed a perfectly fine character (though I admit I’ve only seen some of the American edited network broadcast episodes). Everything after that seemed to go out of its way to destroy him as a character. Was there a reason for that?
Why is there no path for Final Fantasy VI to revive General Leo?
It never ceases to amuse. Solid gold.
I picked up a pair of these when they were last mentioned.
Pros: They sound quite nice (I am not an audiophile, mind), and they look wonderful.
Cons: They’re smaller than you’d think. They have a tendency to slip off my head unless I position them just right, even with a tight fit otherwise. I found that my ears had a…

A few months ago, at Nintendo HQ:
Worker:“Hey boss, we’ve got a good thing going with this new Mimikyu. Fans really seem to be eating up the pathos.”
Manager: “Destroy it.”
It’s a keen idea, but I figure it’d soon devolve into competitive server hacking to just assign one team or the other the victory.
I rather like the bit about Blizzard sponsoring a trojan horse hack. Especially if it signaled back to Blizzard servers that you’d installed it. Just imagine, they could change the match making algorithm such that all the users only got to play against each other.
Even with the Official Strategy guide, I seem to recall that I could never get the highest reward tiers from the banquet. I think perhaps some of the reported point values were wrong?
I seem to recall from years ago that the original plan was for 5?
So the trick was basically guiding them to draw a frog, or getting them to agree that whatever it was they had drawn was a frog, so that he could produce said frogs. I do feel rather bad for the frogs though. That has to be a weird day for them.
I’ll never be in a proper place to do this but...
Please let the sound play when you open a chest. Please let the sound play when you open a chest. Please let the sound play when you open a chest. etc.
I understand you’re pleased with the scifi aspect of the game, but several portions of this article sound like ad copy.
After rereading it though, it seems like I missed much of the snark.
I’m not entirely certain why you appear to be taking the position that I’m arguing the unit will or should have touch. I was attempting to say that the inclusion, or lack of it, provides information which may have repercussions.
I’d argue that touch is actually a big deal. Nintendo has just started it’s foray into mobile, where touch is the main interface. The inclusion of touch would indicate that every game on the switch could also be available elsewhere, later. The lack of touch represents a dramatic shift in their mobile gaming strategy,…
To be fair, Bloodrayne was just Nocturne’s Svetlana Lupescu in a wig, so there’s precedent for this.
