Isn’t the US providing huge state subsidies to EV makers too, by offering large rebates to those who purchase American made (including the battery) EVs?

How can a country with over a billion people run out of workers?

OK, but what if the current calibrations are better than the “fix”?

So, only black people drive around with their music up too loud? I don’t understand the point of this......it’s saying that more black drivers are being harassed than should be - but one person got ticketed 5 times in one day? You’d think after the second ticket they would be aware of what they were doing that was

Um......there are no electronics in a 50's VW. Electrical system, yes......

I remember riding in that Buick!

Perfectly happy with my classic Mini.....

The way these contests work is that the entity giving away the prize buys an insurance policy in the amount of the prize (in this case, the cost of the truck). If the golfer hits the hole in one, the insurance pays off and the dealership sells the car, not gives it away. The answer is right there in the article - they

Better seats for my classic Mini - the oem ones were old, tired and weren’t particularly good when new.

Really? No votes for a modern MINI? 3 cyl turbo motor, great fuel mileage, manual 6 speed trans, panoramic sunroof etc etc, and perfect for someone of smaller stature since the seats can be raised as well as moved forward.

It will only become a thing if people fall for it and start paying. I think there might be a market for an enterprising young talent to figure out how to unlock features hiding behind a paywall.

I sold a Jag E-Type to them several years ago, they were super easy to deal with and gave me a fair price for my car - wired the money to my bank and sent a truck to get it. Easy peasy......

PR may not be the favorite track, but it provides great viewing for the fans, almost impossible to wreck safety for the drivers and it really shows what a smooth competent driver can do with a fast car. Reims may be the nostalgic track favorite, but trying to bring it into the modern age would just not work.
