Where did you get that ridiculous story from? In WP7 and Zune its called Marketplace. the "app Store" title is likely just a description of what the team does, not the official carved in diamond magical name. It's just a freaking description, and unless you are an insider with inside information, stop making shit up.

And just what are you snorting young man?

The Mac app store is selling FCP for several hundred dollars... I prefer to see mobile software as apps (little pieces of software that are limited in scope) while desktop software is a full application, that is basically unlimited in what it can (theoretically) do.

Lawyers! its always the fucking lawyers who are the problem

I think that's just a rumor started by boyfriends and moms (who don't want to be fathers and grandmothers respectively) in order to convince girls that its ok if the pill makes them gain weight.

Well its looks like at least one woman paid for her smartwater/gatorade. And yes it was a robbery, but they weren't violent, and it didn't look like they stole massive quantities, just some snacks and probably beer. All in all, I feel that this could've been millions of times worse.

Mine said hes not allowed to talk about what he did, but then proceeded to tell us just enough to keep him from getting a visit from the FBI...again. Apparently in the past he's told students stuff that actually got him in trouble.

Lol. That makes it even funnier, that the new feature was completely missed because everyone was expecting a new product. This brings up the question, though of why the entire Apple store had to go down just to add those two features. Isn't there some way to do the update with no down time, by using multiple page

haha. My MSE professor was excentric to say the least. His previous jobs were at Sandia and Los Alamos, along with work for several 3-letter agencies which he wouldn't mention specifically. He was very sure of himself (not arrogant, just confident), and was constantly framing material processes and properties in terms

I would suggest running though the yellow pages (or Google if you must), and find a store the specializes in stereo, then go in and talk to the staff, to see how knowledgeable the seem to be. Really its hard to go wrong if you go into a store that specializes in stereo (you can usually tell if when you walk it you are

I actually purchased the Jolida FX-10 last month, and it is definetly a very different (and IMO more pleasing) sound versus a Solid State amp, but it is very important to get speakers capable of running off 10 watts peak. My current speakers (im upgrading tomorrow!!) require me to turn the vollume up nearly all the

Thats a classic example of shear stress causing creep. Actually can be used to prove the glass is solid, which is kind of funny.

From what I can tell this is a good thing. Basically the guys who designed and will operate the plant, don't want some random bank claiming its their property since the bank now owns the shipyard. This way the nuclear engineers will maintain control over the plant (via proxy through the government) rather than a bunch

No problem. Its one of those things that my material science professors drilled into my head this last semester (among many interesting and scary facts), so I try to pass on the info whenever possible.

Oh nice. Have you ever worked with Brown and Caldwell at all?

ROFL!!! I love how the second the store went down everybody assumed that it had to be a new product despite nothing being likely or rumored until september. Nobody in a million years thought it might be a server error (after all Apple is 100% perfect 150% of the time right? right?!?)

Rofl! If you actually do the math you will notice that half the circumference of the Apple doughnut (a.k.a. the equivalent between the 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock if the circle was a clock face) is 0.48 mi, so I was actually combining both a physical and a temporal interpretation in my response ;P

does the depth of the bow change? Because as with most solids, glass can bend (a side-effect of being non-crystaline) under constant pressure just like most metals.

Did you not read my post? I addressed the "thicker at the bottom thing". If you check out old buildings, you will find plenty of panes that are thicker at the sides or top.
