Probably a bunch of last gen Xserv blade servers. Just because they don't sell them doesn't mean they can't make them for in house use, and there is no way in hell a multi-billion dollar data center is gonna run thousands of Mac Pros. Its just not space efficient nor would it be pretty enough for Jobs' mentality
Which repository has the Cartoon Network content? Also does it have adult swim content?
All this advanced scanning is pointless when one weak link (say Tucson International Airport) has 1 metal detector and thats it. I could (and have accidentally) bring in a knife through Tucson, and go to any airport in the country without any secondary checks. Seems like an utterly broken system to me.
Dr. Dre has been marketing his Beats head phones to audiophiles for years, but they sure as hell have not been buying. All the people I know with Beats couldn't tell you what 16-bit vs 24-bit means, nor could they even tell the difference between a crappy cellphone recording and a FLAC audio file. The people who by…
No that makes me smile with glee! (I am a PC/Windows/Linux tard not a mactard)
Yep. I am going nuts just waiting for the thing to ship (it says it should ship btwn feb 25 and Mar 10) let alone show up at my door. I hope I don't have a test the day after it shows up cause I aint getting any school work done that night :D
on a mac the F5 key is not actually the F5 key unless you perform the blasphemous act of using the FN modifier key.
yet. that is in the next one or two updates
my bed is in the corner of the room. as far as I know there are no drafts down there. I think its just the region (the SF bay area).
d'oh! I should've known that. now I feel stupid
I realize that most people have written off Notion Ink and the Adam, as some crappy tablet, and vapor ware, but they have sold out twice now, and have delivered an actual working, 10" android tablet, with wifi and 3g options, better processor capabilities, and equal battery life, for less than the cost of the cheapest…
Why no love for the fiberglass handled Fiskars? Those things are great, They are light, but still provide a nice powerful swing, they won't shatter (the handle that is) if you hit a chunk of metal or miss and hit a rock, and they are nearly indestructible. Also, they are cheaper than most of these, and its freaking…
The point of this was to see how good a potential homebrew Jeopardy machine might fare, so that they could predict how hard it is to make this type of device with limited resources. They just wanted to make sure that their project was actually a genuine challenge, so that they would not be shown up at the last minute,…
I think I need to watch that again! This movie looks sweet if only for the awesome depiction of Valhalla.
At home, I have spiders crawl up from behind my bed once a month, but that is because spiders (esp black widows) seem to love my house. Usually I see them on the wall and just catch them and release them outside. Sometimes the spiders have the bad luck to crawl up on the wall when my gf is over, and she has massive…
this seems like a "semi-casual" get together with the president rather than a formal sit-down dinner
out of the box they do not collect data anywhere close (or at all in some cases) to the level of Chrome which collects every keystroke in the omnibox
I would not say that a wristwatch is useless, just more of a luxury. Its not really polite to whip out your cellphone just to check the time in the middle of a date, or a business meeting, but its really easy and subtle to take a glimpse at your wrist watch. Also, a nice watch is a really good conversation starter,…
I wonder how Ballmer feels about this?
