Ugh. My wife’s family had one of these in college. It was a great little car and a lot of fun with the manual. Her’s was bright red, a color not seen often enough today. Her brother got t-boned driving it; I don’t think it was his fault. He made it out without a scratch. The car was done.

I guess I have to go to that magical land of “Harrisonburg, PA” to get a stick.  Is that east or west of Harrisburg?

Slightly off topic, but I’ve never seen those pedestrian crash tests at the end of the video. Those are some really weird fake walkers. I also find it interesting that they do not show the actual collision with the pedestrian, and cut the video right before impact.

Bar = low? “My 1979 Jeep Cherokee is different from any other vehicle in my fleet in that it’s not a neighborhood eyesore.”

Ah, great point, thanks. I was just looking at bikes - didn’t know scooters were illegal.

Until outlawed, they are allowed. Lime has already surrounded all of Boston / Cambridge, but because of the Hubway contract, Lime won’t drop bikes/scooters there. I’m not sure how Hubway and Boston/Cambridge enforce the exclusivity contract (e.g., does Boston Public Works pick up stray non-hubway rental bikes?).

Same reason there are still bicycle share companies, even though you can get a serviceable used bike for $50. These aren’t allowed in Boston (Boston has an exclusive with Hubway), but I would use them if they were here. I commute in on the train, so would not want to carry a scooter with me, but would pay for the

Chef Ramsay?

Confirmed. Drove one in high school. Father refused to replace the bulbs because it cost like $150.

This is a good article, but I originally couldn’t wrap my head around why there is a Volvo Parkway in Virginia.

When you first said “two tone” in the headline, I thought you were referring to the fact that the center hub and the spokes are different tones of silver, as in your picture....

Unfortunately, because a very large percentage of the population does not know how “autopilot” works on a plane. Most assume the plane just basically flies itself. Also, look at the definition of “auto” and the lead contender in combining form is “self,” i.e., “self-driving.”

Love that last picture on this post. What great colors with the Jeep.

Buffalo Minnesota, not Minneapolis.

First car I remember my dad owning - orange Plymouth Horizon (example above; not actual car). He would curse the hell out of that car for years afterwards...

Question for anyone about the HUD, and HUDs generally. I drove a 2018 XC90 with a HUD and it kept “disappearing” on me, until I realized I only couldn’t see it when wearing polarized sunglasses. Is that a common issue with HUDs?
