All this most likely proves is that in the locations Jack has a store, they’re the only place open that late.

You are a idiot
Friend of mine got hit by a car while he was trying to cross the street (in a crosswalk, with a walk signal) on his powerchair when a woman ran a red and nailed him. The pain in his shoulder has crippled him, making him unemployable, and it’s nowhere near as bad as what this woman suffered.
You are clearly willing to trade the brain damage as well, since you already seemed to have suffered it.
I really doubt that she will ever be “normal” again, even relatively minor injuries can affect you the rest of your life. I have a couple of partial tears in my shoulder and had to give up some hobbies and it impacts daily life even after several attempts at physical therapy. With what she went though I can’t imagine…
I’m sorry, but you are making this sound like a windfall for the victim - assuming her lawsuit is successful AND can actually collect.
At least officer Snidely Whiplash won’t have a badge if she decides that another damsel needs to get hit by a train. Unless of course there’s a loophole that lets her back in, in which case she’ll switch to another town and inflict her brilliant risk judgement on another unwitting community.
My first thought.
We are almost impossible to invade and not even from a military standpoint... its basic geography.
Not necessarily MAGA. SovCits have been around longer than MAGA. I agree that the Venn diagram has significant overlap.
I want to agree, but I can’t. Such an absolute policy lacks nuance, and most if not every encounter between LE and the public has some nuance to it.
He was an idiot, but he didn’t deserve to die for that.
A July 4, 2021, traffic stop led to a nine-hour stand-off between police and a SC-related group called the Rise of the Moors, according to CBS.
Agreed. That's a impound the vehicle, contact someone to pick you up or take you to the station situation. Expired plates are one thing, this guy was clearly having a "I am above the law!" Moment.
My thought is that cops should never fire the first shot. Not a perfect solution, but takes away a lot of the grey area. Would this make it more dangerous to be a police officer? Probably, but the fact is cops kill ~6 times as many people annually as the number of cops killed on duty. Pay them more for the risk, but…
Darwin Award, by cop.
Rise of the Moors....you mean the Moops?
Sad situation. This guy was a Grade A douchenozzle, but he didn’t deserve to die. If he really did try to pull a gun on the cops though I can’t fault them for shooting him. Ideally this would have ended with “Ha ha, no. Go to the DMV and get a real license plate like an adult. Here’s your citation.”
It should be surprisingly easy to *not* kill someone.
I’ve got a friend who was a County Patrol Officer in rural Alberta. He said every traffic stop was terrifying because there was a solid chance you were pulling over a “Freeman of the Land.” These are Canada’s version of Sovereign Citizens.
