Unfortunately, the post is not blowing the internal struggles of larger Minecraft servers out of proportion.
The post may exaggerate a little, but it is not blowing the current revenue struggles of even large Minecraft servers out of proportion. There is a lot of frustration surrounding the EULA and being able to support a level of quality that players grew accustomed to when revenues were higher.
Unfortunately, the good intentions of the EULA have put a lot of strain on even the large servers. There may be some exaggeration in this article, but it is in all honesty not far off the mark.
