My computer started making a weird sound last night so I immediately shut it down. I assumed it was the hard drive, but it kind of sounded like something was hitting one of the fans. Once I was able to get the cover off, I didn't see anything in the fans, but the drives felt a little warm. I have 2 drives in there, so…

Is there any way to mix and match Visual styles for windows xp? With some I like the taskbar, in another I like how the scroll bars are easy to see, The start menu works for me on another. Are visual styles all or nothing?

I've dug up an old laptop I had back in college. It has Windows 95, has a 1.5 Gb hard drive and no usb's, just CD and floppy. I can't remember much specs beyond that, but I got it back in '97. Can anybody recommend a good surge protector/extension cord where the plugs are turned sideways. I've got a bunch of those huge AC adapters taking up the space of 2 plugs, and I'm running out of room.

Can anybody give me some pointers or links to some good "how-to's" on connecting your computer to your TV. I have a VGA/RGB on the computer, and RCA on the TV.
