There’s a mission for John Cabot where you’ll run from his house in the middle of the map to an asylum at the north of the map. You cannot fast-travel. I advise anyone that concerned with immersion to do that mission, and then see if “running to each objective” is still appealing.

Isn’t their dating a matter of practicality for Supes? Which other superheroine can survive the force of Superman’s ejaculate?

Unfortunately there are zero believers in an Oxford comma, apparently.

Clearly the woman kissed Sonic. If he were dead, or comatose or whatever, he wasn’t kissing back. And when he’s awoken he doesn’t reciprocate with more lip-locking, he hugs her, a lessened gesture of affection.

All those actors and Troy Baker fills in for Will Arnett. I don’t think a game can be made these days without Troy having at least 7 identically-sounding roles, so I suppose it’s par.

Clerks The Animated Series had an outstanding video game episode that parodied The Last Starfighter, only Randall was exceptional at a game called Pharaoh.

You should pursue royalties. I guarantee they were inspired by your runaway iOS hit.

He was cutting it pretty close with that timer and had no second Ice Block backing him up.

Odin Sphere could be Vanillaware’s prettiest game, but the gameplay is really repetitive and lacking and the map system (2d but spherical so exits will repeat if you walk in any direction coupled with an obfuscatory branching overlay) is pretty poor. My favorite of their games is GrimGrimoire - the gameplay is spot-on

That’s Kanami.

Ragnaros is a card, and a boss, and an assist against a boss, and can displace your hero with Majordomo Executus so that you can play with him as your hero. There’s precedent.

They also showed off the silhouettes of Sylvanas - presumably a $10 alt Huntress heroine, and Medivh - a $10 alt Mage hero.

Always a treat to spend $84 to ensure I got a Lucina and Robin. Don’t worry, Nintendo, I’ll give another scalper the same amount to grab Ganondorf and Zero Suit Samus.

There’s something specifically about Nintendo fanboys. They’re such indiscriminate apologists... It’s weird. The most embarrassing “gamers” I see at conventions (and I hate that term) are always Nintendo fans. (Full disclosure: I am a Nintendo fan, but I trim my beard and shower).

Same thing happened to me. There’s no feeling worse than leaving the front of a line because the mouthbreathers behind you don’t have jobs, or social engagements, or really anywhere to be - and had the system worked as it should you’d’ve been able to make the purchase you should’ve been able to.

I can only describe the first ten minutes of this as an equation -

PAX East this year was a 5 day vacation for me. One day off for the convention, then two days sick this week.

I thought they're doing a whole "new 52" thing - not that I'm complaining, because I think Gwen's spider aesthetic is way more baller than Peter's or Miles' - but isn't it counter-intuitive to add more parallel universes when they're trying to get their continuity in order?

Pre-order bonuses actually being significant are the biggest deterrant for purchase if I was on the fence. I'll wait until the game's on sale for $20, then buy a season pass for another $25.

I think more criminal than not seeing the Miller's Crossing "Oh Danny Boy" scene on here is not even being able to find it on YouTube to link it.
