I shouldn't have waited, because my 3DS served me well during some travels, but damn if I'm not envious of that Gamecube lustre.

I think that the Jockeys' pale white face huggers (wrist huggers) you see will mix with human DNA and beget the dark black Xenomorphs you see carved in the Jockeys' metalwork.
You've seen Xenomorphs in Space Jockey iconography on the wall. You've seen proto-face huggers three different times. It's the capital A variety, he's just keeping mum.
I mentioned Mortal Kombat because it wasn't one of the hadouken-based fighters. I can't tell a difference, gameplay-wise, between the VS series, SNK, SF, BlazBlue, et cet. Quite likely because I'm bad at those kinds of games, but I'm implying that I'd like to see the Smash genre become as prolific.
You don't "Smash" - no simultaneous directional / button input for a larger melee-based attack. You don't have a percentage meter. You can't be flung off a stage. There still appears to be three jumps (the third a maneuver), and all appeared to be identical. Stages are hazards. There are items. There are…
I've been thinking about this - and I can't really tell the difference between any of the hadouken-based fighters out there. I know Mortal Kombat's different, but still, Smash Bros has always been my cup of tea. I don't mind cloning it, and who knows? Maybe they'll iterate the formula so Nintendo has something to…
You are correct sir. Ho ho.
I've bought every Nintendo platform at launch since the SNES - and that was the only system I wasn't disappointed with by the end of its life-span, which is always a sad, neglected drought of software.
Another great use when loses loses Baby Mario - the shakycam of panic there is great.
I thought being filmed in shakycam was incredible (and, I'd wager, intentional). It made rigidly grounded, minimally-animated characters feel lively, and presented a voyeuristic look at their perseverance. If the camera were static I think it'd feel much less epic.
Adam Sessler is the closest thing games review has to a Roger Ebert. It'd be nice if he found work with GameTrailers or something more high-profile (with actually television airtime). He (and Jeff Gerstmann, now that I think of it) are some integrity-fueled gents.
Yes, because then you'd be going to a website with integrity. Stick to IGN.
However, Nintendo stated that the 3DS will cease to be sold below cost sometime later this financial year, making the handheld even more profitable for the Kyoto-based game company.
He's a charismatic, intelligent, well-intentioned guy, I hope he stays in front of the camera somewhere. He brings a class and maturity to a medium that is often lowest common denominator. We need Adam Sesslers to evolve.
I can't wait for the next generation of consoles so From Software has the technology to create a wolf with TWO swords in its mouth. (drools)
I used to love it, though, just hadn't played it since... '07?
I tried playing one again not too long ago and good lord did that game not age well.
All three games have a techno minimalism. You can't go wrong with any of the soundtracks.
I love Ken Levin and Irrational Games, but as a three-act narrative, BioShock was lacking. The way it was told was novel and the aesthetics were gorgeous, but as a story, it was one they were significantly changing just a couple of months before the game's release. I think 2 is superior structurally, it's just kind of…
I like the cut of your jib.
