13 Reasons Why is another good example of a show everyone seemed to talk about that never got episodic reviews around here. Whether you like the show or not, you have to admit it’s tailor made for tons of discussion.

The AV Club has a big issue lately covering the pop culture people are actually talking about. A couple weeks ago when the entire internet was discussing the two Fyre documentaries, they had one article about them buried in the TV section (even though they’re movies). Now after everyone has been discussing YOU for a

I love pretty much every modern musical mentioned in this article, from Chicago to Mary Poppins Returns and everything in between. But I can agree there is far too much editing and fast cutting in most musical sequences to allow them to really shine. That’s why La La Land, for all the shit it gets, was such an

Truly baffling that they didn’t have understudies for the main cast. Watching a production of RENT is bad enough even when it hasn’t been sitting out for a day getting stale.

To be fair, I don’t blame you for not reading 60,000 words about a movie nobody is ever going to watch.

My hot take: the original Ghostbusters isn’t a very good movie. Ghostbusters 2 is an even less good movie. Ghostbusters from a couple years ago was decent fun, though probably also not a good movie. I think if people could admit to themselves that the original isn’t some holy sacred text that must never be touched, we

Somebody won an Oscar for playing Stephen King and I missed it?!

I don’t think anybody in the world saw that Dafoe movie, or The Wife for that matter. I think Glenn Close still has a shot, but Dafoe’s nomination is his win.

In that case, it sounds like they were incorrect and I didn’t miss much.

The headline read “Final Destination director” until they changed it, making me look more foolish than I already do!

Like the rest of the internet, I spent the weekend watching the two Fyre Festival documentaries that The AV Club didn’t bother covering for some reason. The Hulu doc was much better and the only one you need to watch. The Netflix one is only notable for the glorious “sucking dick for Evian” story, but you can find

His love for movies tops out at a B-

This horror nerd needs to point out that James Wong directed Final Destination, not Jeffrey Reddick. Reddick gets billed as the “creator” because he came up with the story, but Morgan/Wong also worked on the screenplay.

Pfft, a 7.8 earthquake? Seattle is due for a big one in the next 50 years that could hit 9.2. I’m basically already dead!

This is a very long way to say “don’t bother, it’ll be canceled in a month anyway.”

Pretty sure people who are in a wheelchair are in a wheelchair. This is pretty silly even by 2018 standards.

Instead of watching another sappy, saccharine dog movie that gives everything away in the trailer, everyone should watch Dogs on Netflix*. It’s a wonderful, surprisingly deep six-episode documentary series that was easily one of my favorite surprises of 2018. Every episode will make you weep, but not because a talking

Also very tiring: let’s dig through every notable person’s entire online history until we find a way to destroy them. Not that many of these findings aren’t worth ruination, but it’s still a bit too Black Mirror-ish for my tastes.

“The majority of people” are about to avoid his new movie this weekend as it dies a quick box office death.

I’m stunned that A) Kevin Hart keeps going on talk shows despite knowing they’re going to make him talk about the one thing he doesn’t want to talk about, and B) that he’s failed to say the correct words in any of these appearances. Instead of an apology tour it’s more of a dumpster fire on wheels.
