One would think that after all these years that iTunes would be worlds different from SoundJam but it's sadly really no different and arguably worse from a music player perspective.

Apple really missed the mark with Apple Music. A surprisingly confusing GUI, "Intro to.." playlist for artists I'm already quite familiar with, a non existent social/geoloc aspect, and a @connect feature that is so boring and completely non-engaging that they better update it drastically or it'll die just like Ping.

I've been turning the radio off or to a different station for years whenever this annoying jingle comes on.

What Apple Inc. needs to do is innovate. iTunes and everything they've done music-wise since the original iPod has been lackluster. iTunes has been bloated and stagnant for years. Apple bought Lala and effectively shut it down. (Turning it into iTunes Radio doesn't amount to much if that's all they got out of it.)

I think there were lots of great tracks, and albums with a few really good tracks but not much stands out of being solid all the way through. It's easier to pick a Best of 2014 for individual songs than for total albums.

El Pintor is decent but it's not nearly as good as many of the reviews indicate, especially this one.

There were a number of post-punk bands out around that time that I enjoyed. I Love You But I've Chosen Darkness, Cities, Highspire, Hoggboy, The Mary Onettes, Seachange, Twilight Sad, Uncut

Pop was hard to get into at first and then about a year later it randomly came up at the right time and it was on repeat for about a month. There are some really good choruses and melodies on it, unlike some of U2's other later releases, and doesn't deserve the level of criticism it's received. 'Do You Feel Loved',

I was a big fan of Alice In Chains and can remember going in to the local record store and always checking for new releases. I played the hell out of their first few discs. 93-94 had some great releases. Alice In Chains' "Jar of Flies", Catherine Wheel's "Chrome", Swervedriver's"Mezcal Head", Smashing Pumpkins'

Most bands would be happy to have 3 tracks as good as these filler tracks in their entire library.
