@lakersin2025: Not necessarily smoothing — I know too much of that really kills the picture — but a little bit of noise reduction wouldn't go unappreciated here. I have a few Blu Rays of older movies (80s primarily) that seem to maintain every pixel of the original film grain. In fact, I'm tempted to think that a

Oh sure, the pen is $8, but the cartridges are $45.

I'll definitely be getting this. I just hope it isn't cheap and grainy. A little cleanup would be nice.

@hopskipper: +1. I've been curious about that for years. He's still a poor substitute for MJF, but I'd still like to see it.

@iTofu 3GS has no reception problems: I use BestSkinsEver as well — but those you have to be even more careful with because you have to mix your own solution. (Water + a few drops of soap) So potential water damage is greater with these.

Awesome. Now I can't take my watermelon for a walk without having to hoist it on my shoulder. This will make me look so much less retarded.

@tucker augie'ben'doggy: It's called a portmanteau, they've been around forever, and I'll bet you many dollarpounds you use at least one every day and don't even realize it. They're perfectly cromulent*.

Am I the only one a little freaked out by this? I mean, the guy's heart has stopped freakin' beating, yet technology alone keeps him alive and ambulatory. That's about as close to a real ... uh ... live ... zombie as I've seen yet.

I've been to the future and saw the press conference already. It was quite entertaining, if not terribly helpful. I'll sum up the first few minutes here:

@Cú Chulainn (Xeraphim): Who has that problem? No bars show up as either a single pixel line or "No signal." If you have trouble distinguishing between either of those and a 5-pixel bar, maybe you should think about leaving those car keys at home, too.

Yo, don't bogart the isochronic.

Great. Now I've got Corey Hart playing in my head.

I don't get it. Why would Apple even bother? Surely they, like everyone else in the known universe, knows that people don't give a crap about the height of the bars, but the number of them? I mean, who says, "I've only got 2 bars — but they're tall!"?

Bought this first day and it is truly one of the most unique puzzlers I've played in a long time. The wit and banter really do steal the show, but only just — the original concept is engaging and challenging, and the fact that the levels are all randomized with each new game (except for major obstacles you see on the

@PrototypeMike: Sometimes you just have to stop overthinking things and appreciate the gag in a more abstract sense.

Once, in my slovenly youth, I let the dishes sit for so long the mold grew into a cardigan and a set of trousers and walked out the door. I understand they evolved and eventually got their own far right wingnut conspiracy theory show on Fox.

So ... in other words, Mr. Miyazaki would like the lot of us to kindly get the hell off his lawn. Got it.

That looks pretty good, actually. Mophie's iPhone 4 Juicepack probably won't be available 'til sometime in August, but this one looks pretty sleek. I like the clear sidee, and it's got all the right cutouts. I might seriously consider this instead of waiting for Mophie — especially if Mophie are going to do another

@Anonymoose: Burger in a can has been done. Giz even featured it:

@badasscat: Yeah, there's that — but I think more than that is that you have the certainty that it's real and physical, and you're dealing with real physics, not a simulation; it's a form of Man vs. Nature I guess, but for game geeks. :)
